  1. Agreed. There is something unique in the texture of 140 short ribs that's should be tried. But good old fashioned braising has been a round a long time because it works, it's low tech and taste great

    Dinner 2018

Pastrami tonight made from a prepared corned beef picked up when they were on sale around St Patty's day. Leached of a fair amount of salt and seasoned with pastrami spices and smoked till tender. This was from a point cut.

    Breakfast! 2018

Doesn’t sound bad. Not so different than my raw oats, almond milk and frozen blueberries breakfast on most mornings But being the weekend, I sautéed some sliced brown mushrooms and poured in a few beaten eggs and spinkled some shredded cheese on top and slid it into the toaster oven just under the broiler to set for a quick open faced omelette

  11. My favorite thing to do with these prepared corned beefs is to leach out salt and to a pastrami rub then smoke them

    Breakfast! 2018

This morning was a fried runny egg on leftover shredded brussel sprouts from the other night
  22. Here in central coastal Florida, I'll turn on my oven without a second thought in the summer. That's what A/C is for. My wife thinks I'm nuts for doing my long walks in the middle of the afternoon. Works for me. I like to ease into the day and don't mind the heat
  23. Thanks weinoo
  24. We have a 18x16 microfiber type mat after having a dish rack for many years. The thing gets musty smelling after awhile that transfers to the glassware. I'm looking into the rubber bar mat as an alternative. The biggest is 18x12 which is little smaller but should work fine
