Pork kebabs grilled on an electric Weber grill cause our building does not allow anything else. Potatoes roasted in Cuisinart steam boy. Lao gan ma on the side. A glass of rose.

Martini with very long lemon strip reflecting very long weekend worked. And the the best tasting plate of brown food. Steak seared in beef fat with rosemary, thyme, and oregano. Morels sautéed in brown butter.

Celebration dinner after working all weekend. Expensive but worth it. Ingredients purchased at Whole Foods that recently opened in Arlington VA. Nothing says you have arrived like a Whole Foods store within walking distance. Now I need to talk to DH about doubling our food budget Big eye tuna poke. Dry aged strip and morel mushrooms. Morels were a bargain at 24.99 a pound. I picked the nice ones.

Frittata with caramelized red onions, left over roasted cauliflower, red peppers, hot dogs, ham. Unfortunately it got stuck in the pan but still tasted delicious.

Wedge salad Cauliflower pan roasted with bacon drippings. My 12 inch cast iron skillet accommodates the whole cauliflower head nicely. Five hour duck. Skin got torn off the breast during the last flip but DH who prefers breast meat does not like the skin anyway. My son picking bits and pieces of meat from duck carcass

In my experience with warehouse deals you get a new item, the packaging may be damaged (unless they specifically say that item is used).

What rotuts said. I also prefer CSB toast over toaster toast.

CSB toast: place number of bread slices you want on rack, turn dial to toast setting, check that DH did not change it, press start. You can see the color through the glass door. No preheat. Time is a few minutes, varies depending on how dark you want your toast.

Salmon skin left over from making salmon mixed with mayo and capers from left over salmon posted in dinner thread. Broiled at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, sprinkled with salt.

Steam baked zucchini at 450 degrees steam bake. Just enough time to toss and eat green salad and to pan sear halibut.

Chicken steam baked in Cuisinart steam oven, finished on a grill. Delicious juices left after steaming mixed with left over rice.

Bacon and blue cheese burger with tomatoes, onions, pickles. Chilled white wine seemed to be the way to go on this warm summer day.

After 3 days of working 14 hours a day, 12 hour day calls for celebration. Visited newly open whole foods at 6:30 pm, dinner at 7 something. remnants of the beet salad, very Pollock esque Strip steak and martini U View of DC in preparation to the 4th of July.

We flew Air Canada few weeks ago from Toronto to Beijing. Try to get a few hours of sleep mid flight. Overall I liked Air Canada very much. Travel safely. Looking forward to your blog.
