@HungryChris I love tongue. Growing up in Russia, it was considered a delicacy. May be only in my family. I don't know for sure. My cousin who grew up in Vilnius loves it too. I usually just cook it in pressure cooker without brining. Tastes better than short ribs.

Congee made with pork stock, bits of meat from the bones used to make stock, chanterelles. Congee usually keeps me feeling full for a long time.

I am on a slaw kick lately. Quick to make, crunchy, colorful. It also keeps my knife skills "sharp" red cabbage, radish, carrot, parsley, cilantro, lime juice, little bit of mayo.

Pork chop and roasted potatoes. I love making side dishes in CSO which requires no attention. All I have to do is to sear a piece of protein at the right time and voila.

The heat was off when we came to our beach house on this frigid MD morning. The pipes were miraculously intact. Frittata with chanterelles and (extra) bacon eaten in gradually warming up kitchen.

Noodle soup with home made broth and roasted pork. Goes well with cold weather and watching figure skating

Roasted potatoes and sous vide octopus (180 degrees, 4 hours). Sauce was a lazy mix of Chipotle sauce packet with lime juice.

@rotuts it was my first try. I later stewed meatballs in tomato sauce and added meat juices as well. I like your idea of shorter time/higher temp, will try it next time.

Swordfish belly. It has enough fat to allow for good sear without drying out. I <3 my Darto pan. Served with roasted carrots.

OMG, I was there. It was great! I met @Kerry Beal, ate at Han Dynasty and Zahav. We should do it again. And have ice cream at @danielle_j place!
