This and That . this and that . these days , often or not , the above has less eventual appeal than it once did. New Pasta Shape ? no matter what once you cook it ' to your tooth-some delight ' and no less you at least get to eat it.

@Duvel wonderful blog. thanks for the ' on the way ' pics I can see the attraction of the Dino exhibit. Ive only had ' pigs knuckles ' once in Germany , when I was ten. loved them , along w the red cabbage and apple sauce. sorry your weather isn't cooperating but I bet a bit od drizzle makes the food taste that much better. thank you for sharing.

I didn't go in this direction sometime ago when it was discovered that over tim the scores that held the screen in place ' fused ' to the device and it was very difficult to replace the sceen after it , based on usage ' burnt out ' ie had holes in it from the heat ect wonder if they fixed that if its possible to fix

@Smithy Idon't mean to be ' cheeky ' as i have not seen the fish : '' the filets are so thin '' could you ' reverse ' stack two filets . so over all the thickness was the same ? stuff in-between the two layers w ' something tasty ' maybe even on the baking sheet , and a little over the top and bake ? if thew flavor of the fish is really good this might work and no its not the same as a thick salmon filet charred but still tender and juicy in the middle

@chromedome interesting points . its my understanding that at least the ovens , have a temperature difference that is set. you set a single temp and the oven does the rest. you also stay w that temp you set more or less as it takes a long time for the temp to change as you are heating up or cooling down the whole oven. Ive cooked on a coal burning wood stove , an ancient one. you ' twirled ' different steel handles and heated up the ( top , ovens ) by shaking off some ash from the coal already in the oven if you didn't kn ow what you were doing the whole stove might get ' red hot ' no joke

@Duvel interesting points on Tender Steaks esp. as they might have been cuts of Ancient Camel . just a guess.

I know two people that have AGA's and for quite some time. natural gas , in the ' street ' they are very well insulated , and very very heavy. you can ( I think they said ) adjust the over all temp for the ovens , but not the individual ovens. they have a separate ' range ' for the summer and turn the AGA off. I don't know how the range top works they are covered w insulated circular disks when not in use do not know if they can be adjusted. they are sealed ' disks '

well I thought this tread was going to be about Gyros from the small pic to the right of the threads. and I was looking forward to finding out what the Yellow ' tape ' was around each of the two Gyros.

not getting any trick-or-treaters this year is not bad at all . buying all that candy is another matter I used to always take any extra to the library the next day. one mini-milkyway was 30 + minutes on a treadmill , 4 miles an hour max elevation , 20 degrees or so a fast walk-ing pace , but up hill. eat two : forget about it.

@gfweb its pretty simple : ''' Its in the cauliflower family '' you see , its right there in front of you ! Cauli is popular these days , for ....... reasons . but its not a potato . Q.E.D. # 1 kohlrabi is also very much not a potato Q.E.D.# 2 but the larger picture and view : neither is GBP. so that's something right there.
