I feel your pain! My husband and I went to the grocery store yesterday, with a list, but silly me said let's look at the meat. We came home with all the list items plus chicken wings for Super Bowl, pork chops for broiling and baby back ribs. I was going to use something already in the freezer for dinner but ended up using half of the ribs and putting the other half in the freezer!

I kind of cheated on this one as I knew where the protein was in the meat drawer. I had five of them and they were all on the bottom. So... Magret Duck Breast and Mushrooms See the Dinner Topic for the resulting dish - I had been wanting to try this for some time now.

In this case, the plate is prettier than the food but the food was good and satisfying! Burrito of leftover spicy black beans and taco meat, from last night's dinner, and shredded cheese. Wrapped in waxed paper and nuked in the micro for about a minute at low power, just enough to warm it through.

My new favorite! Taste tested this salsa at the Sunday market in Old Mesilla, NM in November and bought a jar. Then contacted them and ordered 6 more jars to be shipped to me after I got home.

Okay, I will start. Today I pulled a lb. of ground chuck (BEEF) out of the freezer to make taco meat. To go with the Tacos will be a side dish of Spicy Black BEANS, but I like to add the Beans to my Tacos, so BEEF and BEAN Tacos. This is a meal we both like and makes for great leftovers. The inspiration for this meal was the avocado in the fridge that really needs to be used and I just happened to have one more container of homemade Taco Sauce in the freezer. Results will be posted on the Dinner Topic.

Very cute! I have similar little no name gratin dishes and find them useful for all kinds of dips for chips, especially for guacamole and salsa. PS: Refried Beans with cheese melted on top from a few seconds in the microwave. -

Lazy night for dinner tonight. My husband made a Marie Callender's Turkey Pot Pie for himself in the microwave and I made a quick Egg Salad Sandwich with an already hard cooked egg, some mayo, and salt and pepper on a slice of honey wheat bread. Hit the spot for both of us!

Lunch out with my husband today at one of our favorite spots, Michiru in Webster. We each had a bowl of Hot and Sour Soup. He had a Tonkatsu and Vegetable Tempura Bento, which included egg rolls, California rolls and rice. And I had the General Tso's Chicken.
