Okay, I played around with it some and this is what I found: if I set the time and temp on the device, the app acknowledges it and asks me to name the recipe. The problem seems to happen when I begin the cooking from the named recipe on the app.

My (bluetooth connected) Anova is working properly, in that it is at the temperature I set, and the app is counting down the time, but the display on the device itself just shows the temperature, rather than switching back and forth between the temperature and the cook time left. Can someone tell me what I need to do to get this working again? TIA

From the Leftover/Doggie Bag (dinner at Floyd’s earlier this week): Onion Rings and a Stuffed Shrimp ~ reheated in my Cuisinart Toaster Oven. No charge for the ants! I love these plates!

Thank you! My order has been placed. 1/4 c jar Mural of Flavor, 1/2 c jar Sunny Paris, and 3/4 c bag Garlic Powder Granulated (which I have bought before and love). Total price would have been $21.39, but with this deal just the $7.95 shipping. So I am basically paying for the garlic powder and getting to try the other two items for free. Yay!

I currently take the food photos that I post on eGullet with the camera on my iPhone SE. I use the Photo Editor by Aviary app to crop and adjust the photos prior to posting them. My other photography (nature, birds, etc.) is shot, in raw, with my Canon EOS Rebel T5 and processed with Lightroom.

We had a craving for shrimp, so off we went to Floyd’s! Uncle Bub’s Shrimp Platter ~ 4 Fried Shrimp, 4 Grilled Shrimp, 4 Shrimp En Brochette, 2 Stuffed Shrimp & our choice of side ~ Onion Rings. And because we didn’t think we had enough shrimp, we ordered 6 Blackened Shrimp with Potatoes Floyd!

We are also Prime members. My husband really enjoys reading science fiction, so we subscribe to Kindle Unlimited through our Amazon Prime account, which also lets you borrow up to 10 books at a time, but has a much larger library from which to choose. I believe the Kindle Unlimited option is an additional $9.99 a month, but well worth it for us as my husband reads a lot!
