I found 'em yesterday! Did a taste test without reading the ingredients on the bags. Here's what I liked in order of preference: 1. Flavor 404. Yellow colored bag. Spicy with hints of lime or lemon or both. 2. Flavor 2653. Blue colored bag. Spicy with a mole type flavor. Definitely could taste a bit of chocolate. 3. Flavor 855. Red colored bag. Tasted almost like regular Doritos to me. Maybe a bit spicier. My husband liked 2653, 855 and then 404.

I remove it so that I can dry it out and then make a wish

Get ready, everyone, I'm about to start my yearly complaining about how hot it is in Kansas We wanted something a little lighter last night, so I made a chef's salad.

Here is the link to the recipe I used http://cakewalkr.com/kicked-up-cornbread/

I get a craving for cornbread maybe twice a year.....and when I do, I'm usually disappointed in myself. It's never moist enough. I don't care for the sweet version, I like the savory. This recipe has you put most of the cheese chunks and peppers in the batter, but you reserve some and press them on top. That, along with pre-heating the cast iron skillet in the oven with bacon grease before you pour ( or rather scoop and spread because it's thick ) the batter in makes this recipe a keeper. Heating the pan with the grease in it browns the bottom a bit. Now I want to make another batch

Happy June, everyone! The usual salad The best cornbread I've ever made. Peppers and sharp cheddar cheese are nestled in there. The cheese is cut into small squares so that you get gooey, cheesy pockets of yumminess when you bite in. Steamed asparagus from the garden....I think it's about done for the year. Which is ok...I'm kind of asparagused out. Venison fried steaks Plated with the must-have taters

Loving all of this! (I hope you get some sleep soon )

I must confess that I always cook my apple filling a bit before putting it in the pie. I like the apples to be soft and have always had the crust get done before the apples were the way I liked them.

We eat a lot of venison. My husband is an avid hunter. Tenderloin should be a thick cut. Sear quickly at a high heat. Don't over-cook. I like to sear it in butter. I can't help on the sauce…we don't care for fruits with our meat.

I roast mine over the flame on my burners because I like the char-y/smokey taste that it gives the peppers.

Dcarch--Lovely smoked chicken. I'm hungry for that. Huiray--Such clear, gorgeous chicken broth! Everyone else, as always, I love perusing your mouth watering food. Chicken and mushroom alfredo of sorts And, a friend came to stay with us for a few days. He made us these wonderful venison burgers on the grill.

It all looks delicious, especially the octopus and the risotto.

My Dillon's in Kansas didn't have these. I was disappointed.

Back a few years ago when it used to rain here in Kansas (it's already like living on the sun--3 days of near 100 and 100 degrees) our corn that we grew was quite smutty in spots. I googled it and was shocked that it was something you could eat. I never was brave enough to try, though. Couple of dinners: Spaghetti Taco salad

I am among those that get welty and itchy after being in my tomato garden so I'll abstain from eating the leaves. I don't want to be itchy on the inside too

Lime Shortage Affects Cocktail Bars, Restaurants...and You
Shelby replied to a topic in Kitchen Consumer
Much to my husband's dismay it was I that went grocery shopping yesterday. I bought limes. 99 cents a piece. -
I was just wondering the other day if they had picked a city yet.

I can smell morel mushrooms growing somewhere out here--lots and lots of ground to search and I haven't done it yet. My asparagus is going great guns.

Lime Shortage Affects Cocktail Bars, Restaurants...and You
Shelby replied to a topic in Kitchen Consumer
I sent Mr. Shelby to the store with limes on the list to buy. He came home lime-less. They were a dollar a lime. -
Interesting. I'll have to see if the big city grocery store is carrying them.

Yeah, he looks like he's having a rough time LOL
