  1. Wayne, that garlic looks so good. So do the tomatoes! I'm slowly harvesting the onions. No laughing, I know they're small--I never can grow big red onions....the white ones are bigger...., but they are good
  2. I didn't make this....wish I could make crust this good. My mother-in-law made this rhubarb strawberry pie for us. SO good. Perfect balance--not too sweet, not too tart.

    Dinner 2016 (Part 6)

Lovely pizza, John. Although Rotuts will have something to say about the green peppers . I personally love 'em on pizza. Last night was breakfast for dinner. Used my Cuisinart steam oven for the toast. I never thought I would be exclaiming about toast, but boy is it good. No picture. Night before last was spaghetti night. Bread toasted in a skillet because it was pre-Cuisinart lol. Lettuce and cukes from the garden.
  4. Gorgeous stuff, Elaina. Those beans look just like the pole beans I had growing...before bunnies and hail lol. I bet they will enjoy having something to climb on.
  5. Ya'll weren't lying about the toast.
  6. OMG THE LIGHT IT HAS A LIGHT
  7. AWESOME!!!!! We will be learning together. I just got one delivered today. I can't wait to get him fired up. Toast will be my first ....we're having breakfast for dinner tonight. I wish I could set mine on top of each other.... might have to look into getting a cart of some kind. Right now the steam boy isn't in his permanent spot....but he's sure happy here. The Breville feels like she has a friend
  8. Boy, it's liberal up there in Canada Ok, we're pouring a glass of wine right now so we can have cocktails together. I like the candle. Adds ambiance.
  9. I am so impressed with these kids! Like others have said, they spell and have better penmanship than many other people I've seen from the US. Really enjoyed this, Liuzhou.
  10. Me too. I want to go look and see how many Manitoulin trips they've taken us on... I always feel like we're all having happy hour together.
  11. This is interesting. I wonder why they make the other slot then? Why not just have a one slot toaster. Does the other slot keep the toast warm? I don't have a toaster. I am so excited for this trip oh and HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!! Will there be fireworks over the water? Yes, yes, get the steam boy (girl?) out I am now hungry for steak.
  12. TOMATO ENVY, CHRIS
  13. Diana, thank you so much! I feel very very blessed that it's come back halfway decent. When I get a chance I'll post some pics of right after the storm as compared to now. It was too depressing earlier lol. You're so right about the weeds. I always wait until I've watered or we've had a good rain. We have a huge chance for some downpours (nohainohailnohailnohailnohail) beginning this afternoon so I'll probably spend tomorrow morn. pulling. I know it was everyone's positivity here that helped my poor bedraggled plants come back
  14. AWWWW I love your potato helper And LOVELY taters.
  15. I honestly don't think the weight of the eggs matter...I've done all sizes together --my eggs are usually from chicken down the road and there are a WIDE range of sizes lol. The steamer basket might have been a difference, I've never done them in that.
  16. Oh man, I'm sorry for the fail. I am the one that uses that method --and I think Anna does too. I put the trivet in, place the eggs on...I've done 6 --5---8--maybe even more eggs than that. Cup of water, 5 mins, low pressure, natural release. Never had a problem. So very strange that it didn't work for you.
  17. I haven't flown anywhere in so long...it looks like I'd need a tutorial
  18. Damn rabbits. No beans for me either this year. You and I will prevail on those next year, I just know it. I wonder if your cukes need a bit more water? Mine get globe like when that happens......
  19. Yay!!!!!! Can't wait!!!

    Dinner 2016 (Part 6)

BlueDolphin, your scallops look perfect. I've got a few in the freezer that I need to use. I didn't do so well cooking them last time so I'm gun-shy lol. Chris, nothing wrong at all with that picture and I hope your eye heals asap. Your burgers are my kind of burger. I like when you can't see the meat because of the cheese Liuzhou, that looks like such a nice, refreshing summertime meal.
  21. I have those exact same glasses, Chris I love 'em. They make me happy.

Hot here, too. Needed pizza and beer.
  23. Your well-wishes have really inspired my plants. I can't believe the growth in just the short time that has happened. I actually need to put supports around some of my tomatoes I'm going to plant some more corn in the spots where it died this week. The ones that lived look GOOD. Honestly everything looks amazing ( I mean...knowing that it was all hailed on ). I just picked and smashed some squash bugs. Little bastards. Scraped their eggs off of two leaves also.
  24. I vote boneless chicken breast or pork tenderloin. The SV'ing, imo, makes either amazing.
  25. WOW Franci, I'm with Anna. I know I'd pick your cooking hands down. Looks SO good.
