  1. You're on the naughty enabler list young lady 🤣
  2. It'll be here Friday
  3. I remembered that I have an Amazon gift card from my mom and step dad that I've been hoarding to use on something I really wanted but thought I shouldn't. This seems to be the thing lol.
  4. It's just too hot in the summer to mess with...and I'm lazy. I'd rather have an indoor one.......
  5. I really do want it. I can get $100 off if I apply for a Prime Visa card...... Camelcamelcamel says it was $799 in June of this year.... Our hunter friend comes in a few weeks and loves my pizza. I definitely would need to practice a few times to get the hang of it. I do have a spot for it since it can sit on a wooden table. Do I buy it now or wait and see if it gets cheaper. Arrrgh.
  6. Damn it
  7. Does the Pizzaiolo get too hot to sit on a wooden table?
  8. I do not need this I do not need this I do not need this

That is an excellent price for that basil plant. I like to buy them in the winter time but they are like $5--still worth it to me but as we all know it sends Ronnie into palpitations.
  10. But you get a free pallet
  11. I'd have to order a second kitchen to also be delivered on a pallet

Oh this will disappoint you--I used frozen Nathan's brand lol. Preheat the fryer at 360F for 5 mins. Airfry for about 10 mins. They were very crispy.

    Dinner 2023

Happy Anniversary @Ann_Tand Moe! Heat wave finally broke yesterday. We should have few nice days but then it gets back to the 100's ugh. I haven't had enough tomatoes to can a single jar this summer. I can eke by with what I have from two years ago but we better have a banner crop next summer or we're in trouble. I can't complain though because we have enough to eat our fill each night. Big salad--potatoes, green beans, cukes, smoked turkey, chicken, peppers and artichokes Odd combo but it was good--grape/blueberry galette for dessert Finally got around to making bread So BLT's with air fryer onion rings Venison meatloaf Savory galette using tomatoes (no your eyes aren't deceiving you, I didn't peel the cherry tomatoes....I might need to see a doctor....)squash, corn and peppers. Fried potatoes, eggs, crawfish boudin and a sausage kolache to go with Chicken and hatch chili quesadillas Cantaloupe sorbet for dessert Got my Rancho Gordo Bean box yesterday and the newsletter had a good looking recipe so I made it --Summertime Heirloom Bean and Tomato Salad RG Alubia Blanca beans, our red onions, tomatoes and cukes, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper and our basil. Really good. Pepperoni, mushroom and pepper pizza to go with
  14. Got my bean club haul yesterday:

I've never been to Outback but I've heard the onions are so good. I had big plans to copy their recipe but it hasn't happened so far.....I still have tons of huge onions though so thanks for the reminder.
  16. Day one thousand of over 100 F temps. It's currently real feel of 107 F. Yesterday was 114 F 😳. All I want is fruit sorbets done in the Ninja. A thought slammed into my head yesterday: Frose (I can't figure out how to make an accent over the e lol) I blended up a half a cup or so of strawberries with maybe a 1/4 of sugar and then mixed in most of the bottle of rose. Froze over night. I was worried it wouldn't freeze due to alcohol content but it did. Ninja'd on the sorbet setting. After freezing but before spinning on sorbet setting You guys this is heavenly. You could do a ton of different fruits etc. I'm loving this grown-up slushy 😃

    Gas stoves

Mine has electric ignition, but I can turn the gas on the burner and light it using a match. I've never tried to do that with the inside of the oven, but I bet I could.

I totally agree with you. I would hate having to go back to electric. We lost power for 12 days due to an ice storm and that stove was a life saver.

    Dinner 2023

It's been so busy around here. Much to my huge dismay I got a notice that I was to be at the courthouse tomorrow at 8:45 am for jury duty. NOOOOOOOOO. You're supposed to go online to check the night before to see if you still have to. I was so relieved to check the website Friday evening and find out that I didn't have to go! Anyway, I'm going to make bread here in a bit and just putz around the kitchen while watching the Little League World Series because I'm celebrating lol. I had bought a bag of frozen teriyaki chicken from Misfits a while back. Decided to make that with some rice and frozen dumplings. It was just meh. I spiced the sauce up a bit with some Thai chilies. At least I got something used out of the freezer. Ham/tomato/cheese/onion paninis Still eating potatoes from the garden. They have stayed good for a long time. Fried walleye, stewed okra and tomatoes, Mac and cheese, stuffed mushrooms. BLT's and tuna ranch pasta salad Friday at 4:20 in the afternoon the power suddenly went out. No storms or wind or anything going on. I figured it was due to the extreme heat. There are only two houses on these power lines. Us and our neighbors. I was praying it would come back on soon, but it didn't. Found out late that night from my farmer that his brother (he also farms here) was harvesting our corn on the other side of the tree line and became wrapped up in the power lines somehow. Thank GOD he didn't get hurt. Two poles were broken. Bless the hard working electric company people who worked all night to get us up and running. Power finally came back at about 5 Saturday morning. It was a very long hot night. We talked about going to town to get something to eat but it was hot and Ronnie hadn't had a shower (we don't have water if the power is out)and just plain didn't want to drive that far so I decided to just cook some breakfast on the stove. Yay for gas ovens! It gets darker earlier than you think these days lol. Squash, fried potatoes and scrambled eggs. Sausage/mushroom/pepper/onion pizza last night with a salad last night Cherry/strawberry galette and sorbet for dessert
  21. We planted a couple GBP plants this year and they actually have been producing peppers (years past they didn't do a thing). They are so sweet and juicy. Nothing compared to the grocery store ones. I've steeled myself for the wrath that I've brought on to myself.
  22. I'm trying not to be jealous but it's seeping in 🤣
  23. Beautiful! Those all made my mouth water.

@Kim ShookI love reading through all of your meals and with all you've been through I can't believe how much you cooked! Your SV fried chicken looks to die for. And raisin pie! Ronnie's mom used to make that for his brother. I had never heard of it before being around them. It's SO good and I never think to make it.
