Didn't Charlie Browns in Cedar Grove used to be called What's your beef? I know that Charlie Browns is long gone from Cedar Grove but they have other locations. I am thinking this was years ago back in the Beefsteak Charlies (Your going to get spoiled.. at Beefsteak Charlies tonight) era.

Where is Rail Paul I know he lives around there too?

I'll either come alone or with the girlfriend. I live in Verona so it's close. I will be in (guess where) Florida on the 20-25th so that weekend would be out.
-
I'd be interested too.. It's not far from where I am here in Verona. Then again another Rutts Hutt outing would be fun, especially on a Tuesday night when they have the car show in the lot.

I saw the sign months ago it's right next to some sweet looking new town houses that are right on the water. There is a PF Changs at the Westchester Mall in White Plains, NY. There are also several in Florida where I live part time. I tend to like it but find the food to be different from store to store. There is typically a line and the Northern Style Spare Ribs are good. The prices are quite reasonable as well for what tries to be a more upscale mall type restaurant. P.F. Chang's China Bistro

Thanks for the directions Porkpa.

Ok where is this place? I'd like to check it out.

Can anyone provide the address of the White Rose?
-
Tommy.. Can you give me (us) some idea about the prices for some of the items on the menu? Thanks!

I like the cream of mushroom soup at Pal's Cabin in West Orange. Wonder how much butter goes into that.

I strongly concur on Jaxsons!! :) Love me some pistachio!

I went to Richards Steak House in Boynton recently and had a nice end cut prime rib.

We went to Rustic in last year and everyone was really disappointed. I don't eat fish or seafood so I couldn't tell you. I do get a kick out of the newspaper and hammers. I live off Lyons so I know the places mentioned. Some places I like. Chinese - Shen's Peking - Lyons and Glades (Probably the opposite corner of the deli you went into). Thai - Try My Thai in Hollywood http://www.trymythai.com/ BBQ - Scrubys in Pembroke pines on University & Pines and also off Nob Hill and SR84. Cuban - Little Havana - North Miami Beach on Biscayne Blvd and also in Deerfield Beach on Federal. BBQ (Again) - Mississippi Sweets on 2399 North Federal Highway in Boca Raton

Little Havana on Collins has excellent Cuban food. 12727 Biscayne Boulevard North Miami, FL 33161 I'm from Boca Raton and am now working in NJ. Whenever I am in town and time allows I head down there. The service is fantastic.

I wonder if any of the older *ahem* participants on here would remember Botwiniks deli in Bayonne. Supposedly this was quite the place years ago. My mom is from JC so that's why I asked about the hospital, she said everyone was born there from JC! Guess not huh? Then I heard the stories of Uncle Milty's down by the water.

Forgive me for not being up on the lingo but what's a "DH"? Rosie.. were you born at Margaret Haigue? (Did I spell it right)

Susan what part of FL are you in? In regards to Rt 280 - I typically never go home that way but it is the quickest. I typically take 287 to 78 eat and then go through Millburn and then the reservation. I know I have a long ride to and from work each day. It's making me old at my tender young age. :) Anyhow.. had some chicken soup with noodles and rice for lunch with a bologna sandwich. Not sure what to have for din din. I wish I could make it to Marks house!

Hey Susan.. I am from Boca Raton, FL - but working here in NJ. My friends were teasing me all day today. Left work @ 11:00 AM in Piscataway and headed back home to Verona. As you came north the snow was less and less. Route 280 was a nightmere. I actually BBQ'd some hamburgers and hot dogs tonight on the grill out back. My father took a picture of me out there. Sunday we have reservations for a birthday dinner at the Mt. Fuji on top of the hill in NY (former Motel on the moutain). It's near Tuxedo, but not sure if that's what they call it over there off the Thruway. We shall see what Sunday looks like.

How about the French Quarter? Also right off Las Olas!
-
Had supper there tonight. Prix fix was $16.95. Had appetizer of ribs - which were great. Then had weiner schnitzel for main. Served with potatoes and some creamed broccoli which was great. Also included was dessert and I had some of the rum cake. The meal was great and I noticed a lot of old timers in there. This is not a 'trendy' place by far but you will not leave hungry I promise you.

Tommy, they have been closed for several years now. I don't know what's in the cards for the place. I know the dealership across the street uses it as a parking lot. The building remains. They used to have great burgers.

I went there monts ago with my mom and pops and we liked it but weren't thrilled. The waitress didn't really understand much English at all and that made it difficult to ask questions. I think it was a weeknight and there were a few other customers in there, but not a full house. I'd rather go to Bill & Harry's up the road. Thought the food was on par, but was more pricey and again the service.

Hi All.. Sorry I wasn't in town to make the BBQ. The food looked fantastic. Hopefully I will be in NJ next year to attend. I am glad to hear that you all had a great time. -Scott
