@IEATRIO No debating that pressure cooked stock ought to last longer. But it still isn't a vacuum in there if its under pressure. It may be relatively oxygen-free, but it isn't a vacuum, and even if it were that is not antibacterial.

Small quibble...pressure cookers are under pressure, not a vacuum. And vacuums are not sterilizing

I've long grown sage, thyme and rosemary under grow lights all winter...which is nice, but I want to grow quantities of basil now. My sense, perhaps wrong, is that basil needs way more light to thrive. Any experience out there?

I had a breakthrough from I think, Serious Eats IIRC. Crack the egg into a fine strainer to get rid of all the thin part of the egg white. Then dump that into swirling hot water. Much neater result.

Tucker the Airedale ate a gigantic butternut squash that he filched off of the counter. It served as a cleanse of sorts.

Part of the whole problem is ,of course ,defining organic. Is it limited to things found in nature? If so then gentamicin and petroleum is organic. I'm not mocking, just saying it isn't easy.
