@HungryChris We had ribs tonight too. Wish mine were smoked like yours. @Shelby, Even though I was warned I still had a couple of steam burns. Shared Platter. Ribs tonight cooked on the grill. Greek Salad and roasted potatoes in the CSO. With TBQ Sauce. Made a double batch today. Dessert tonight. Oatmeal cookies. Last night's dessert - Pecan Tart. Cookies and Tart both cooked in the CSO.

Grilled Quail With Greek Salad and roasted potatoes. Potatoes were cooked in the CSO. If the only thing this oven did well was toast and these potatoes it would be worth having.

Dejah, that looks so good. Green Peppercorn sauce is a favourite. Quail is on the menu tonight. One of Moe's favourites. Preview. Marinated Greek style, with olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, minced garlic and salt and pepper. Will be cooked on the grill. I'm thinking just some roasted potatoes and Greek Salad on the side. We had pasta two nights in a row. Both simple. Last nights. Pasta served with grilled Italian Sausage. Saturday night's a simple pasta based on Lidia Bastianich's recipe for Cacio e Pepe, If you love lots of black pepper like I do than you will enjoy this pasta dish. Had a craving for hard shell tacos last week.

Was up early this morning so baked Gingersnaps. Baked in the CSO on the Convection setting. Went great with a cappuccino.

@Shelby, I'm not familiar with Cyalexa buns, but I think I need to make them. I resuscitated my sourdough starter recently. It had been neglected for many months. Took three feedings to bring it back to health. Baked a batch last week to which I added a pinch of yeast for insurance, just in case. Yesterday's bake was from a batch of dough made on Wednesday. No yeast this time. Moe took the dough of the fridge for me so it would be ready to work shortly after I got home from work. Baked two boules last night and sliced this morning.

@Anna N, I haven't turned on my big oven since the CSO arrived.

Anna, I presalted the rack on Wednesday, and roasted Friday night. Seasoned with pepper and seared in the cast iron skillet. Once seared, I brushed with a little dijon and rubbed with fresh rosemary and garlic. And into the CSO at 450°F on the Steam bake. 12 minutes. Took it out at 120°F and let it rest for less than 10 minutes , while the vegetables finished cooking. The potato wedges were also roasted in the CSO. They were cooked first, in 20 minutes, same setting as above and then left on top of the steam oven to stay hot while the lamb cooked. I put them back into the oven for two minutes after the lamb came out.

I still had two mini baguettes left from Tuesday. Should have frozen a few but didn't. So needless to say they were not fresh. But the CSO to the rescue. I put one of them in the CSO on Steam bake at 375°F for 4 minutes and it came out of the oven like it had just been baked. Warm and soft on the inside and the crust was crackly. Made Moe a meatball sandwich for breakfast.

@demiglace, it is possible there were was another restaurant by the same name. The one on Fourth leaned towards Hungarian. They did a fantastic roast duck with red cabbage and spaetzle.
-
@demiglace, no it was on West 4th in Kitsilano.

Today's breakfast. Grilled pork chops. Presalted on Saturday and planned for last night's dinner. Never happened so I grilled them this morning. Served with potatoes that were cooked in the CSO on bake steam setting with red onion and paprika. Also made my take on Hungarian fried bread. There was a restaurant in Vancouver, The Ivy that closed a number of years ago. They served as an appetizer fried bread with a garlic sauce. Loved it. I used some of my regular dough, and fried in hot oil, topped with garlic creme fraiche.

Yesterday's early morning treat, Cornbread with an Espresso. Bought Oyster mushrooms at the Duncan Farmers market yesterday and used some in Moe's breakfast this morning. Made him a baked potato topped with bacon, oyster mushrooms and finished with garlic creme fraiche..

Thanks @shain, appreciate it. Will buy the beans this week. Italian Roast chicken with a side of Pasta Aglio E Olio.

@shain, would you please share your recipe?

Same day bread. Handmixed a 500g batch at 70% hydration in the morning before leaving for work. My son pulled it out of the fridge around 4:00 PM so I could make pizza for dinner. Enough dough left for a 10" Batard, baked in the CSO on the Bread Setting. Came out of the oven just before bed so wasn't sliced until morning. Makes great toast.

@HungryChris, you must be an early rise like me. Since I'm usually up between 3 and 4 AM, I have lots of time to cook. I would be all over your potato creation. Took bread out of the oven just before bed Thursday night, and all Moe wanted for breakfast on Friday was buttered toast. Thursday morning made Greek Chicken with Potatoes for Moe's breakfast and I took the same with me to work for lunch.

Burger a couple of days ago on a homemade Kaiser bun. Potatoes roasted in the CSO. Made two batches of dough yesterday before leaving for work. Both went into the fridge and my son pulled one out around 4 hoping for pizza. I decided to try and bake pizza in the little CSO. I've been using it for everything just about for the last two months so why not pizza. I baked two small 7" pizzas for Matt and Moe and I shared a Flammkuchen, which was baked on the 10" X 7" stone. I probably won't use the oven for pizza again. It is just too small doesn't get close to being hot enough to pizza.
