Perhaps not gourmet but certainly a good time for a family. We had dinner out for a special occasion with 10 people (half of whom were kids) and they loved eating outdoors. Staff were accommodating and patient as well. ← I haven't been there since last summer; we were a party of about 10 as well. The food was fine but the service was ridiculously inept. Not unfriendly, just so not on the ball. It was pretty embarrassing.

Not sure I'd categorize Monk McQueen's as great.

We have a cuisineart and are happy with it. The avantage with the first one you linked is that it has too bowls, so you can make more than one batch without refreezing the bowl. Happy Ice Cream making!

Caitlin, Kirin is a little more expensive, but you would still be hard pressed to spend more than 20 bucks. A recent expedition produced a bill for $80 dollars for six adults and one child.

We cooked dinner together at my house for our second date; I can't remember what we cooked, but I do remember he made fondue for dessert from a giant Toblerone bar. Mysteriously, he has forgotten how to cook since we got married (perhaps had something to do with me criticizing his pasta methodology), but he still cleans up.
