frankfluid : liquid at the bottom of those hot dog packages ... makes perfect sense, to me anyway, when no one else has given it a legitimate name ...

Basic brownies freeze very well, especially if they aren't cut. They can be frosted or not. When cooled be sure to wrap them well, first in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil, then place in an airtight freezer bag. They must be wrapped tightly as the air in the freezer is very drying. Freeze for up to one month. And be sure to look at this from Nestles: more on freezing brownies

okay, okay! I am ordering a See's Valentine's box for myself ... and I will personally vouch for the sublime differences ... Might I ask why they are so incredibly reasonably priced?

Downtown Ritz-Carlton Hotel is only 8.7 miles north of the airport and is close to Marta Public Trains which has a station inside the airport ... Atlanta Ritz-Carlton .. Atlanta Grill

I believe grapeseed oil.... it has a clean taste and a high smoke point so it works well in high heat, and it won't conflict with the other flavors .. next best option? canola ...

If you don't make your own candy, and I'll presume that many of us fall into that group, even though we are gourmet-ish and consider buying ready-made chocolates a tad too simplistic, there are many types of chocolate candy which are more than presentable for the confection-laden Valentine's Day ... Apparently, someone at Money magazine (a no-brainer now that I come to think of it) has collected a panel of women who range in age from 20 to seventy who would participate in a chocolate taste test specifically, Valentine's Day sweets ... taste and the presentation of the candy was important here and, of course, monetary value ... Money CNN Of the choices that were available to the tasters: Harry & David Grand Collection Vosges Haut-Chocolat: Exotic Truffle Collection Godiva: 36-piece Gold Ballotin Whitman's: 32-ounce Sampler Target: Choxie Signature Collection While there are no major surprises here, what chocolates would you have added (to these choices to make things more interesting)? Or are these options satisfactory enough?

See what I meant? For the restaurant owner, word of mouth recommendations may well spell the difference between success and failure ...

I would always consider a sucktomer to be someone you don't want to come back to dine in your restaurant ... How about: abdicake: to give up the last piece of cake to someone else. aggravistle: the small, inaccessible piece of steak that clings between the teeth and refuses to dislodge despite constant agitation, causing continuous discomfort and extreme annoyance...

Eight Precious Pudding is both festive and elegant and is served at many New Year's banquets .. numerous recipes for this delight ... it contains eight kinds of dried candied fruits that represent eight precious stones, as I understand it ...

Just checked the panko in my pantry ... sounds like a mystery novel title: The Purloined Panko in the Pantry ... anyway, it is from, and under the label of, my favorite newest food resource, Trader Joe's ... and it was really crisp and quite good when I used it on chicken breasts ...

Because you were in a Publix, I assume that you are now living in Atlanta, Janet ... That said, there is a concentration of oriental markets on Buford Highway .. if I desire something completely authentic, and one can't get that at a Publix really, I have bought Hanayuki Panko Bread Crumbs at stores on the Buford Highway corridor ... they were quite acceptable, as one might imagine. Oriental shopping locally .. most centered on Buford Highway ...

There is, or maybe was, a frozen vegetable protein roll by Worthington called Tuno which is a tuna substitute ... but I think it is white ... not red like fresh tuna ...

One would hope that it would be a positive thing, having the name of a restaurant which was worthy in public forums ... the big picture? If the place is successful, it would be less likely to close up ... makes (perfect)sense to me ...

I think that this link may be a good place to begin your search ... while I visit Santa Cruz often to visit my daughter, I don't have any children with me ... I like Gayle's Bakery very much and the places on the wharf with seafood are pretty child-friendly ... and then this looks like it might work out too ... The Train Place Deli

You are quite right on this one, Toliver .. it is a terrific deal! Many thanks! As far as finding things on eGullet, if memory serves me correctly, you can find anything here!

This offers some possible options on substitutions ... .. see whether it answers your question ... but you have to make this yourself instead of buying it ...

The reviews on this dish were, to a person, virtually uniformly positive .. and I like the idea of the saltiness of the smoked trout balancing the bitterness of the endive and the tartness of the dill. I will definitely make this on the weekend .. elegance amid the Super Bowl nachos and chili? Nope! Never! Just this with a sparkling white wine ... Thanks for the link, Aileen!

The red endives that I have are not radicchio di Treviso because they look quite different: Radicchio di treviso
