We found Destino restaurant in Bremerton over the weekend. We've always had a hard time finding a good place to eat in Bremerton but lucked out when we saw a small sign on the street "Destino Cafe". The food was fantastic! I had eggs benedict which were perfect, along with diced potatoes and a large platter consisting of oatmeal, warm milk, nuts, raisins, brown sugar and spiced apples. My wife had a delicious bowl of soup and the kids had a french toast made from cinnamon rolls. Quality of everything was outstanding. It's in a nice location overlooking a grassy park and the water. Bless you for finding edible foods in Bremerton. Not an easy task. I will try and go there this weekend (and will be sure not to sit near the windowsill  ).

Other than the nice Italian in Mannette, do you know of any other decent restaurants on the Peninsula?

Thanks Abra and ImportFood.....I now have a list of 3 places to try in my soon to be homeland. Also in the back of my mind is a tale of a small, maybe four table place in Big Valley, that is supposed to be very special. If anybody knows the name or has a report, I'd be much obliged

Stopping because I seem to be getting off topic here.

We went to Cafe Destino on saturday. It is a cute place, more coffeehouse than restaurant, at the newly re-done park on the riverfront. It is fun to watch the dogs playing outside while reading the paper and drinking too much coffee. It has a nice looking outdoor seating area which ought to be great in the summer, jazz on Friday nights, and the staff was fun to talk with.
