Anise Oil, not extract

Recommended Posts

My Father's friend needs some anise oil (not extract) for baking. He said she used to get it at a pharmacy, but has been unable to find any for several years.

I suggested checking health food stores, Wegman's, Williams-Sonoma, Italian & Polish groceries or even going to a bakery and see if they use it and where do they get theirs from.

Am I on the right track? Does anyone know for certain where I can find some for his friend?

Same stuff, also at the King Arthur Flour Baker's Catalogue -- they've been known to work shipping miracles.

Good luck!

edit to add: they do FedEx Overnight; $11-19 for that weight to the lower 48, depending on location. 2-day price is a little less shock-inducing.

You haven't said where he or she lives.

There is a place in Boston that has a storefront as well as mail order.

They are nice people and work hard to provide service to their customers.

"There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who say: this glass is half full. And then there are those who say: this glass is half empty. The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!" Terry Pratchett
