Vodka Surpasses Gin in the Hearts

"Although purists may never accept that Vodka has replaced Gin in the

classic Martini, cocktails naturally evolve -- just like fashions in clothing

and cars," said vodka.com spokesman Miguel Fiol.  "Before Prohibition, the

Martini usually comprised four parts sweet vermouth to one part Gin, and was

garnished with a cherry.  Dry vermouth, olives and cocktail onions were only

introduced much later."

I wonder what the spokesman for gin.com would have to say about that. :hmmm:

Vodka.com is a weird place. The "parent company" seems to be mostly a cybersquatter, and has been involved in several domain name litigations. Miguel Fiol is also involved in suth other ventures as happybirthday.com.
