I always look out for these things. Some of it is just junk to clutter, others are eBay worthty while some are quite lovely to have and use. I thank those at Bombay Sapphire (ooops, a competitor) that commission the annual cocktail glass created by some renowned architects and/or designers.

Westport, Conn. (March 18, 2004) – Allied Domecq Spirits, North America (NYSE:AED), a marketing-led brands business, is turning up the heat this spring and summer on some of its biggest brands with value-added packaging (VAP) and co-packaging designed to get consumers into stores and pull product off the shelves. The off-premise packaging programs for Kahlúa®, MALIBU® Caribbean flavored rum, Sauza® Tequila, Courvoisier®, Canadian Club® and Beefeater® will also raise brand awareness and offer consumer convenience during one of the busiest times of the year for retailers.

Value-added packaging gives consumers something extra with the purchase of a product, like branded glassware. Co-packaging provides convenience to consumers by offering an additional product with purchase, such as mixers to create classic cocktails associated with the various premium brands. Co-packaging can also expand a brand’s consumer base by offering sample sizes of alternate products in the same brand family, thus introducing consumers to a brand extension they may have otherwise never tasted.

Press release here with a detailed list of the give-aways.

Cheers!
