1998 Cape d’Estaing Shiraz Kangaroo Island

94 points – This wine was wonderful. Everyone kept joking at my TN descriptors I was coming up with for this one. On the nose and in my mouth I got incredible senses of bacon fat, wax, licorice, steel as a sword being pulled from its scabbard and notes of pepper and cassis. Super finish as well. I got up out of my chair to see if MudPuppy could get me some of this (sadly no).
