Looks like a mold for a steamed pudding. That was my first thought - then looking at @Margaret Pilgrim's post I realize it has a center post. So flan it is!

Looks like a mold for a steamed pudding.

Something like this recipe - likely scaled up - doubled would likely fit in a 5 cup mold.

Cranberry Pudding

1/2 cup molasses (140 grams)

1/2 cup boiling water (125 grams)

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 1/2 cups flour (210 grams)

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup cranberries

SAUCE

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter

1 cup light cream

Mix, steam for 1 to 1/1/2 hours.

Simmer sauce 15 minutes.

Pressure cooking instructions -

2 cups of cold water in the pressure cooker

15 minutes steam (saute instant pot), pudding not covered, not under pressure. Then 35 minutes high pressure, natural release - then leave in the pressure cooker to cool so that the top doesn’t get hard. It’s uncovered the whole time - you need to be careful that it doesn’t get the water dripping into the pudding.
