Somebody in France has my email address (it's a unique domain I've been paying for since very early 90s) as a Microsoft Live ID since late 90s (stolen en masse, one must assume, early in the identity theft game). Letters to Microsoft go nowhere, so it may be there's nothing an individual can do about this kind of theft. A class action lawsuit might work for these restaurant owners, but I don't really know.
