Hi, my name is Sam,  I'm British but live with my family in France, half way up a mountain, surrounded by vines, cheese and charcuterie in varying stages of maturity. Prior to my current occupations of grappling with the children's French homework, chasing peripatetic stills and stalking local producers at village markets, I was a galley slave. Don't miss the 24/7 aspect of kitchen life, but I do miss the customers, banter and passionate conversation about food without the worry I've conjugated my verbs correctly!
