Old Foghorn Ale

mickblueeyes

Recommended Posts

This beer is golden amber with a thin, white head and fine bubbles. The aroma is heavy with hints of honey, bread dough, barley and light hops. The palate is full with a rich, honeyed texture and nuances of dusty grain, golden raisin and yeast. The finish reinforces the palate, but shifts to a lighter honey/hops flavor reminiscent of honeysuckle.

I think I've said it in a few other threads, but this is one of my absolute favorite beers. The depth of flavor provided was stunning (though to be fair, it's the only barleywine I've had yet).
