Cooking pâté

I dont have a pate mold:(

My question is if I could use a bread loaf tin or does it have to be ceramic or cast iron?

sure you could.  you might want to 'temper' the cooking by placing the loaf tin in a water bath  etc

 

as you probably dont have a lid, try some parchment paper on the top then some foil.

 

with out the water bath, it can be called 'meat loaf'
