Recs Near Place Clichy for last week of October?

I decided to end my October business trip in France and also celebrate my Big Three Seven with a one-week stay on Rue de Vintimille near Place Clichy.

So, any recommendations for food markets/stores (wine and cheese especially)/restaurants in the area? I usually stay either near Montparnasse or Rue Poncelet, so this is terra incognita for me.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Cheers!

The famous organic market of bd Raspail on sunday is on saturdays bd des Batignolles. The bakery at the corner that has flute gana is very good. Many excellent stores in the rue des Batignolles and the market rue Brochant, rue des Moines. Rue des martyrs is pretty awesome as well, with Delmontel the baker facing an excellent cheese shop. Seurre in the same street, too.

Spring is a bit of a walk but booked now thru the end of the year save for cancellations. There was a nice Dossier in Figaroscope last week on the Martyrs/Trudaine area, a bit East of the Pl de Clichy that also mentioned the relatively new and super Korean place Sobane. Also, the new Cul de Poule is kinda fun too. A bit of a hike is Le Cafe qui Parle that Laidback has written about and closer to the Place on the rue Cavallotti are two places Bouclard + Perroquet Vert I've been to many times but disappointed on my last visits. My bus went by Wepler two weeks ago and it looked under construction as was the Table d'Anvers.

Julot, John,

Merci beaucoup!

I love Spring, especially after visiting it in February for a fabulous lunch, so I'll see if I can't get another lunch RSVP there. I've never been to any of the other places and I'll be sure to hit some of the market streets.

I'm staying from the 26th to the 2nd of November, any good events going on in Paris at the time?

Cheers!
