I've been wanting to make a black walnut pie. When I was in Seattle a few days ago, I bought two pounds of black-walnut pieces from a nut vendor at the Southeast end of the market.

He said he would sell me more by mail, but I--dang it--can't find his address.

If anyone can get me that address, I'd be much obliged. If that "anyone" lives in Minneapolis, he's welcome to a slice of pie.

Was it the stand pushing the fresh-roasted cashews? If so, I can't find their contact info online (since I only know it as "the stand pushing the fresh-roasted cashews"), but I'll be down there within the next couple of days and will get the address.

That's him. He had a line of cashew bins in front of him. The black walnuts were on a shelf behind.

And we made the most fantastic pie last night. Brown sugar and maple as the sweetener.
