Stovetop waffle iron on an induction stove

Has anyone tried using a stovetop waffle iron on an induction stove?

I have a serious craving for waffles, but can't find anything that does not have a non-stick coating on the grids......I've looked at the vintage sunbeam electric irons, but I live in Singapore and the 110V would need a step-down transformer (from 220V)...

Any ideas?

no reason it wouldn't work, as long as the waffle iron is made of a magnetic material. haven't tried it myself, though.
