  1. I can hear a mouse messing about in the wall right now!!!
  2. Do you still have this running, @Chris Hennes?
  3. I'm 6' tall—I can reach everything with the exception of what's on one corner cabinet shelf. A Rubbermaid step stool fits the bill.
  4. We have 2 cats. They don't have access to the crawl space, the enclosed porch and some other places in the house.
  5. Try this! Approximately 2/3 Tootsie roll and 1/3 peanut butter. Microwave for a few seconds then stir, repeat until the deadly—BWAHahahahaha!—mixture bubbles. Let cool enough so it can be kneaded into a ball around the snap trap trigger—dab a tiny amount of plain peanut butter on top of the ball. Works VERY well in my experience!
  6. I tried those. They did not work well for me here.
  7. I grew up on the stuff. ScrappIe was originally a food of necessity—whatever was available was used. Same with hog maw "Seimaage", etc. Scapple is like meatloaf in that there are a gazillion recipes out there. Homemade scrapple (Pon Haus) featuring pork butt.
  8. Via Nautilus: "How to Tell if you're a Supertaster"
  9. This place has very old drywall with a thin coating of plaster on it—for some strange reason they often applied the plaster coat when drywall was a new thing. I used toggle screws. No way will the knife strips budge!!!!
  10. I have the Ikea Grundtal stainless steel ones. No complaints. The installation instructions are available on the page.
  11. That stuff is magical!!!
  12. I ordered the whetstone from England. As I suspected, it's very coarse! No good for everyday use but useful for repairing a badly damaged blade.
  13. The great folks at The Marugg Company—where I bought my current scythe and accessories back in 2008—were kind enough to send me a new stone—70B natural whetstone—via affordable and reasonable first class shipping—$2.85!
  14. No! ETA: "The Tasty One Top is shipping November 2017 and will be delivered on a first come, first serve basis."
  15. Has anyone bought this thing? It's currently $149.00 $175.00 15% OFF + FREE SHIPPING. https://tastyonetop.com/

    Aldi

    And definitely pricey!
  17. The left out the "corned duck" recipe—page 25—in the preview on Amazon! Sonsabitches!
  18. I'm still plugging away with the original ANOVA and two old Sous Vide Magics. Unfortunately, over time, the skirt doesn't fit tightly...so it tends to flop around coming in contact with the impeller. I need to be very careful when mounting it.

    Aldi

Many brats have zero sugar. I need to get back to making my own. BTW: One tsp. of sugar weighs ~5 grams. 2 grams of sugar is a lot for those of us who are simple-carbohydrate intolerant or following a low-carb or ketogenic diet, or lifestyle.
  20. I'm hoping they'll discount them during the holiday season.

Unfortunately, I've found that most of the sausages are damn expensive and loaded with sugar, IMHO.
  22. Not weird! Stoooooopid!!!!!!

Yes, most commercial cream is now ultra-pasteurized. And the price is up to $1.99 per pint now.
