Wow! It occurs to me that I would perhaps still have some hearing left had you acquired one of these sooner! 😂 (I am just kidding, but I used to be Kerry’s assistant when she did chocolate shows and lessons and the sound of those polycarbonate molds being banged on the table to release bubbles was quite something.)

The Food Safety and Home Kitchen Hygiene/Sanitation Topic

Nobody was shooting the messenger. My comments were about the article which should never have been published the way it is. It serves no useful purpose that I can determine. -
I have mentioned these to my gluten-free daughter, and she wondered if you were familiar with the Promise brand and what you thought of it. Thanks.

Some statements from the above article have me scratching my head. Bolding is mine. People at high risk of severe illness from listeria infection — such as pregnant people, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems — should not eat meat or cheese from any deli counter without first reheating it “steaming hot,” the agency suggests. [Steamed cheese Yum Yum]. Most of the people identified in the outbreak so far are of Eastern European descent or speak Russian, the CDC said, adding that the agency is still investigating reasons for why the outbreak appears to be disproportionately affecting this population. [So wait, if you are of Eastern European descent and speak Russian you get off?] If you have purchased deli cheese or meat, the agency recommends a careful cleaning of your refrigerator — and any containers or surfaces the meat or cheese may have touched — with hot, soapy water. [That’s a hell of a lot of fridges to be cleaned] There is nothing amusing about an outbreak of listeria, but there certainly is about this piece of gobbledygook. -
I knew I’d seen it somewhere.

There was cocaine in Turkish delight?

Spam may be a lot of fat with a little meat, but it doesn’t look that way. I only have to look at photographs of Wagyu and my arteries clog. I admit I have never tried it.

I think @Duveland I cross posted. Hard to imagine why one would try to cook a pizza in there.
-
From the look of that it is a commercial product. Not something for a home kitchen. Do you have access to such a thing?

Love Turkish Delight. Even the very worst examples. Biggest disappointment would be avocado. Can’t see the point.

I would like to do more experiments, but first I must find somebody who is shopping and can grab me some reasonably sized potatoes! The monsters I get when I order online are just not suitable.

I have been spending/wasting time looking at YouTube videos of this machine. It looks interesting. I wish one could trust the reviewers to show you the things you want to see. For instance, the one who claimed they were going to cook a steak and instead chopped up a ribeye steak into stewing meat size pieces. Or the one who made French toast fingers and made sure that you could never see the bottom of any one of them to check if they had browned. Do come back and let us know how you like this model when you get a chance, please.

Always a PITA. Hope you end up with one that works before too long.

It’s a very boring story. I buy them! Wish I could tell you I smoked it myself.

Unable to believe that anyone could look quite like this I had to do a little investigating and found this: Who knew they were publishing cookbooks with photographs back then?

My understanding was that you had a convection oven, but it doesn’t matter. Either way you can put foil in both.

Thank you. That is a very convenient gizmo she has to hold the ladle over the heat source. Were I as adept at using chopsticks!

😂😂😂 On a more serious note, I began to wonder if people who can successfully masticate kale really have saliva that is different. Like super tasters could there be super salivaters? People whose saliva contains more of some chemical, than the rest of us. The salad kit that was recommended to me is a Taylor Farms brand. Don’t know if it is the same as that sold by Costco.
