  1. I bough some of the Platinum yeast about a year ago and used one package. My results were less impressive than @ElsieD. I still have two packets left so I’ll try again. i don’t remember what I paid but it wasn’t anywhere close to $15.
  2. Thanks. i think part of this is that I’m beginning to get some of my energy back and doing some catch up.
  3. I will never again put off all those little household chores that are easily done in small increments. I have been procrastinating for months. My car was 159 days overdue for its oil change when I finally took it in for service last week. Sunday I did laundry that overflowed the hamper until I started running out of clothes. I mopped the kitchen floor yesterday only because the plumber was coming and I was embarrassed. I vacuumed and dusted my bedroom on Saturday....oh it was needed so badly. I always seem to be able to put off these things until they are overwhelming. Never again.....
  4. Fortunately my friendly plumber was able to get here this afternoon and, after much struggling, was able to pull out the metal pick. Whew. When will I learn?

    Dinner 2019

Tonight's dinner will be Parker's Split Pea Soup, I'm a big fan of anything Ina Garten and I've made this soup many times. It's so good. Cold Fall days make me crave soup. (maybe some homemade bread too)
  14. Oh my, you are too much! 😁
  15. Because I don’t need one. I already have a grill I don’t use. And I already have a mass of kitchen gear that I don’t use.
  16. I will never again empty my cocktail glass into the kitchen drain without taking out the metal cocktail pick. i have now seriously jammed my disposer and will have to call the plumber. I can’t unjam with the torque wrench. 😒
  17. I wil resist...
  18. Dum-Dums? Never heard of them.
  19. Yeah. Who wants an apple when they're already forced on you by your Mom?
  20. I do too.
  21. That was my favorite treat at Halloween. I was lucky if I even got one of them.
  22. I love my IPot, in fact I have two of them. The SV, not so much. Just not my style of cooking. I gave my Anova away. (old dog, new tricks, you know.)
  23. Here in the Northern Rockies we're setting records for the cold.
  24. Yay for Oregon!!!
  25. One year DH and I were on a trip to the Seattle area and I was driving; made a wrong turn coming out of a rest area so we decided we'd try to find our way back and got kind of lost. (I am notoriously bad at directions and tell everyone that I can get lost leaving an empty room.) Anyway, our new route took us through orchard country and I've never seen so many apple trees...miles and miles of them. Interesting, all kinds of fruit trees and lots of picking going on.
