I agreed with this until my crumb tray became scorched and mottled in places. I did as someone suggested here and covered it with foil. However, my toast is still rather uneven on the bottom. I'm thinking of trying to get a new crumb tray from them. Has no one else had a problem with a blemished crumb tray? Surely I can't be the only one. But let me clarify, the toast is the CSO is still WAY better than it was in my BSO where it always tasted as if it were baked.

Anna, I don't know what your kitchen looks like but I ended up putting mine in a corner (with cabinets above) and I pull it forward when I use the steam function (only occasionally). It's the same site I used for my BSO that is now residing on a shelf in the garage.

KFC now has spicy chicken and Carla Hall has her own brand of Nashville hot chicken. I haven't tried either although I do tend to like things spicy. I just may pick up some KFC spicy next time I'm in town.

Anyone from 50 years ago who looked at these photos here would think that you people eat like Kings!

Is there a source for these? I have purchased some chicken empanadas in the past and I'm wondering if there are any in the grocery stores, maybe frozen?

I've gotten lazier over the years and not as picky as I used to be. Now I clean as I go UNTIL dinner's over and I frequently leave the dirty dishes/pots until morning.

I like to drink a lot of iced tea in hot weather and since it's just for me I use the Luzianne K-cups Just a tiny amount of sugar and lots of ice and I'm all set in just a few minutes.

You may want to hold onto that small freezer and add it with the new, it's scary how fast they fill up.

This is one I can live without.

Was it too icky to give to your dogs?

For the past couple years I've been using the big (2-inch square) ice cubes made in a silicone tray. Nice because they don't dilute my drink as fast and they last longer. Ice cube trays

I keep my brown sugar(s) in a plastic Lock n Lock container which doesn't seem to be air right. seems like every time I open it (which isn't often) my sugar has dried out quite a bit. Then I re-soak my sugar bear and seal it in again. But I'm really glad to read about the plastic bag/water trick because its only a matter of time until I'll need it.

Funny the use of the word 'neat' to describe a drink. I've always wondered how that came about.

The small town next to me has a McD's and I sometimes stop there after my hair appointments. I always order the chicken sandwich (with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo) and a small bag o' fries. It's actually very good.

Nooooooooooooooooooo But I already own it.

Re the bread knife... I got the knife that CI recommended, the 10-inch Wusthof bread knife and I love it, it's super sharp and it works for my homemade breads, bagels and anything else big .

Kay, No, I've always used the hot links. P.S. I have some good friends in Port Ludlow!

Now that fresh rhubarb is available I wanted to recommend This recipe. It is really special. I made it a couple days ago and it's the best recipe I've tried, the mixture of strawberries and rhubarb is just right; not too sweet and not too tart. And the thickener keeps it from being too runny.

Thankyou all....I don't know why I wanted to, it just looks so appetizing there on the plate. Nevermind, I will throw it out.

Yeah, I know this is a stupid questions, but.... I left some cooked Italian sausage sitting in the microwave oven overnight. Should I try it?

Has anyone tried this product on their carbon steel pans? I like that it says it won't turn rancid. The last brand that I bought, years ago, turned rancid very quickly. Thanks, AnnaN, I forgot to add the link.

This is one of those recipes where the sum is so much greater than its parts. I love simple one pot recipes and this is one of my all time favorites that I've made many times. It is so much better than it would seem. I've made it for good friends and always get raves.

After waiting for over a month for the delivery of the Instant Pot Obsession cookbook from a private seller through Amazon, the order was finally cancelled. I had to reorder from a different seller. The book finally arrived a couple of days ago. I'm STILL waiting for the non-stick inner pot that I ordered at the end December. It has not yet been shipped and the anticipated delivery is June 5-9! Five months!
