Elsie, I'm sorry if I was calling you ‘Jo’. My excuse is I was also binge watching ‘Alaska TheLast Frontier’ !!!

I ordered the Pro salad shooter and will let you know how well it works when it arrives next week. I think it just might be the answer to my cheese grating woes! Sorry I keep calling you 'Jo'!

I l-o-v-e turkey when it's well cooked. And I have actually done that! However the best part of turkey is the dressing and the gravy, but that still won't make up dry, tasteless cheap turkey. posted while enjoying a White Russian!

Jo, I posted the question about grating parmesan and other hard cheese and was told ithe Sald Shooter did it well. My Cuisinart is big and heavy and stored under my counters so it's a real pita to get it set up, cleaned and put away. I now grate my Pam on a rasp since I don't usually need a whole lot of it at a time. And I know Ina Gatem shreds her Pam in her big FP in big quantities and then stores it in fridge or freezer. I could manage that since it’s be a very occasional job.

Jo, I'm leaning toward the salad shooter since it's electric and easier on my hands. My Cuisinart does a good job but I hate cleaning the parts and it takes up half my d/ w.w

Hot damn! Yet another spendy appliance I don't need but can covet nevertheless,

The plumbing in my home was done with copper pipe and I've had nothing but trouble with it The hot water runs develop pin holes and I’ve had at least five leaks. I'm currently waiting for my drywall guy to come and fix this last repair. The original owner had some of the pipe torn out and replaced with flex but The harder-to-get-to pipe remains. this is not to say there's anything wrong with copper pipe, I believe that this job was done with poor quality or defective pipe. In my case, I almost need to keep my plumber on retainer.

When I last attempted a recipe for mac & cheese I was disappointed that said recipe called for 4 cups of grated cheddar. I really hate grating that much cheese because I don't like having to wash up my big 14-cup food processor and I hate grating on a box grater even more, it's hard on my hands and it takes a bit of effort. Isn't there a (somewhat) easier way? I've looked at the Moilinex-type rotary graters; are they good for larger amounts of cheese? Or maybe something like this? Comments, please.

Here's a shot of it sliced: This was breakfast, toasted in the CSO. I'm impressed with this recipe...just the right amount of sweetness and cinnamon. Very tasty and I'll definitely make it again. I'll use more raisins though, I love raisins In baked goods. The electric knife made it easy to slice.

Yes, I hadn't sliced it yet, had to wait for it to cool. I wrapped it and will slice it this morning. It feels lighter, less dense that I usually get with my other recipes. Will see.

Not a side but for me I always have to have a mince pie!

CI's green bean casserole. Ina Garten's cranberry chutney.

I can't find my favorite hot sauce... So I order it from Amazon. I'd also like access to the horseradish that Shelby mentioned.

Beautiful teapot.

It looks to me like a cup made for dipping into a liquid of some sort...

I had some of my leftover chili today along with some Nabisco Saltine minis. Actually the best thing that's happened to soup and chili. They're small so they're toastier than the original, therefore better.
