@Kerry Beal you have spent plenty of time with me! I felt bad about following you like a puppy and asking questions like "what is this thing you call chocolate". And why does it have canine distemper and I won infrared thermometer! -

I wish we lived close to each other. What fun it was going grocery shopping with like minded person! May be I can meet Northern VA people at chocolate workshop this weekend.

I would love to learn. Doing dishes is the least I can do for this learned crowd. @Chocolot is female? I be damned. Just kidding. I think all of you are beautiful:)

I am coming for Sat and Sun workshop. My main goal is to meet people, have fun, and of course to enjoy dinner on Sat. But I must confess. I do not know anything about the chocolate. I do not bake. I do not make confection. So consider yourself warned. I will be roaming from one work station to the next bothering everyone and tasting excessively. You can task me with doing simple things like chopping. I am really good with knives. Or I can make coffee. Mostly I want to meet my imaginary eGullet friends;)

Grilled swordfish with Minnesota wild rice. Real wild rice is so much more complex than the farmed variety. Not cheap but worse it. I buy mine from Bineshii.

Variety of greens from the neighbors garden, Parmesan shavings. Tastes so much better than supermarket salad.

See no evil. disclaimer: I like corn. And peppers. Even green peppers. Please don't hate me

Duck breast. It was very small so I took cooking it on the skin side as far as I could without overcooking the meat. Farmers market asparagus. Hollandaise. A lot more hollandaise after the photo was taken. All of that just for me. DH is not home for dinner tonight.

A patient gifted me red and black caviar. Served with home made creme fraiche and blinis. Champagne is not optional

Borscht with home made creme fraiche and scallions. There is very thinly sliced left over steak on the bottom

Those are bodum double wall glasses. They are great for my morning espresso, it stays hot for a long time.

Shredded beets and avocado appetizer. Pepper stuffed with chicken, brown rice, scallions. Cooked in CSO.
