Let me know if u r in town!

Roasted beets, roasted grapes, hummus shmear, pine nuts, Maldon salt, EVOO. Syrup left over from roasted grapes made a lovely old fashioned cocktail.

Something that I never tried before. Alaskan spot prawns simply sautéed in butter served with broccoli cooked for a long time as I have learned from @ProfessionalHobbit posts. Served with lovely Riesling. Some prawns had eggs but those were lost to removing shells.

They can cause nausea unless parboiled or pickled. But alas, y’all convinced me. Buying Whole Foods chanterelles will be my my future foraging adventure.

I think you are correct. I used to forage them with my Grandma in Russia. They are called сыроежки. @JoNorvelleWalker scared me a little. I pickled the shrooms and have not eaten them yet :).

Check this out. http://www.ftsonline.com/. They have outlet store in Sterling, VA. Lots of modern staff, very cheap. A trip there may save you a lot of money on plates and silverware.

My husband and I are going to spend a week in Tokyo in November. The problem is, I have difficulty choosing places to eat. So many Michelin stars. So many iconic dishes that I want to try. Or I can eat sushi all day. Or noodles. Or tempura. Please help. High end and cheap places. Lunch option would be great.

Shmear of hummus, acorn squash (it was cooked in IP for five minutes, natural release and too soft for perfect mellon baller cut outs), peppitas, pine nuts, burrata. Very tasty exercise in beige. The rest of the dinner was mundane chicken and broccoli.

Beans, fried egg, ham. Parsley is from the neighbor’s garden. It is amazing how intensely flavored fresh parsley can be.
-
Posole, homini, it was all delicious :). Cooking dried beans, legumes, homini is so easy with Instant Pot.

Grilled pork chop and white asparagus. Pork marinade (red wine, garlic, Lao Gan Ma) was reduced and served on the side. Perfect weather for outside eating at Chesapeake Beach.

About inch and a half. On sale at Whole Foods for prime members. I drank cool aid and I liked it 😞

Sumac, it’s sumac. Also, when can I come over for one of your pizzas? I will drive you around all day long to procure the ingredients

Half bagel with cream cheese, fried green tomato. An odd couple brought together by trying to empty the fridge.
