@blue_dolphin Wow I looked at this yesterday didn't get it as it said ' Mild ' do you think it might ' age at home ? ' Seasonal ? Ill get one soon , and try to age it. the Brie I get is about $ 8 or 9 a lbs like the idea of some TJ's nuts with it. how might this stack up age'D as best I can in a Toastie ?

@Smithy wow what a haul ! id go with either good quality olive oil or butter as a base . possibly augmented w just a bit of garlic ? finely chopped green onion tops for the garnish for the green you don't know what what the Rav;s taste like , so you want then t shine still near TJ's ? you might want to cook those Rav's up soon you might like to get some more TJ's as a very interesting selection of fresh-refirgerated Raviolis. I have not seen these but im going to look for them tomorrow a long w a few other items you got grilled articholke etc

Im a terrible slasher. too timid on such a puffed up dough Ive always thought the slash had to be just before the bread goes into a hot , moist over to get a ' boost ' you might not get on dough that had dried out a bit on the surface during the rise and became a bit tougher than the dough just underneath Im wondering how the ' boost ' works w a slash at the beginning of the rise .

went back to Tj's , to ask about the Saint Iiltyd cheese. I have 2 - 3 Vac'd and Fz , but realized how outstanding it is on Toastie. melts very nicely , thought Id get a few more and Fz for the tomato season. its seasonal at TJ's , and the season started in late Oct here , ' 18. missed t. Ill have to settle for HomeRipenedBrie.

what might this ruby bean taste like as its own ' chocolate ? ' one might note Im not a chocolate gourmand-ish I did love See's , back in the day dark chocolate Turtles. dark chocolate , perfect caramels , and toasted pecans.
-
there are so many truly remarkable Chocolatiers here they has seen this Ruby Stuff at a few Chocolate Convientions I do wonder if the Ruby Cacao Seed might not be what it seems to be ? Ruby Cacao Beans are mentioned on the TJ's label but not in the ingredients .

here is a standard 8 oz Stock Brick : probably posted before. mould is : this sort of thing ; https://www.target.com/p/snap-and-store-food-storage-containers-5ct-25-fl-oz-each-up-up-153-compare-to-glad-174/-/A-14695614 works sell for making TurkeyRaguBricks.

its OK as a ' confectionary ' but I very much doubt it came from a cacao bean that was raasberry in color. TJ's white chocolate ' chips ' are way better . mine went back.

i have noticed at my local Weg's [ two stories ! shopping cart elevator ! ] that they have a good selection of higher end stuff. including their pastry baking and possibly their bread Ill have to go back there and take another look they are allergic to coupons and what all. but .... Ill look. thaks for pointing it out to me
-
@Kim Shook WoW ! what is that gnarley chocolate deliciousness on the lower R there is a Wegman's near me I did note that their pastry area needs more consideration from me.
-
@Kim Shook do love quiche or what there is Wegmans near me can youy give me more infer on the Q ? thanks back when , Way Way Way back when ............ """" People """""" had Quiche and a Spinach Salad with Raw sliced mushrooms in it. they did well I think. forgot what was for dessert but the wine was probably and Almaden Chabls from CA and dry Im so sorry I didn't keep on bottle from Almaden Fishes , Chickens , Ducks , Turkeys probably a bit drunk Raising a Glass !

give it up on bologna move to USA Mortadella just saying. its not quite Scrapple , but what can you do ?
-
@Shelby where did you get a duck egg ? consider this : next time you have a Duck Egg , use Mortadella ( USA , not Itallian , they put pistachios in the M in Italy it seems . Idiots ! ) and then check back. you don't need to get the mortadella cut ultra thin , but you can wrap it around the egg and then rap some more around the tomato !
-
@Shelby Im pleased you SC worked out. Im wondering , esp if they were not previously cooked would SV be a method worth trying ? 300 F on the outer part of the crab seems excessive. I know w SV , picking just the right temp , shimp can be out of this world. would this work for other shell-fish , hoping you don't puncture the bag ! the proteins I think for shell fish are more delicate than animals w legs. sort of thinking a long the lines of Eggs SV , creating something that could not be achieved any other sway. but ' realllllly good ' sounds fine to me.

I like Oz Clark http://ozclarke.com he presents three wines these days on James Martin Saturday Morning , a GB TV show. some of the terms he uses make more sense to me than standard jargon Ive tried grape varieties based on his descriptions and enjoyed them. his list for a specific bottle probably only work for GreatBritain. the crew at my local TJ's has several people that know they wines they are selling. they know what I like so Ive found some very tasty wine at very good prices there. and you can take the bottle basck if you don't like it. I try not to do that very often if at all. they have also opened bottles for me in my price range ( < 10 USD ) it they think they are close to something I might like. they know a lot more about what they are selling than the overall group at Total Wine. one thing about TJ's : they buy very large lots of wine that they think suits their clientele . then when sold out , its sold out ! they had a Macon-Ige a while back for $ 9,98. and extraordinary wine for the price. I bought several cases I like it so much for ' week-end wine ' thought of buying some more , then it was gone !

personally , not to Rain on your Parade ........... some one is laughing all the way to the Bank. the is sweet then tart and raspberry-ish. first item on the ingredients list: Sugar. \\the second is Cocoa Butter , and the 4th Unsweetened Chocolate Ill give them that. and the last is Natural Flavor raspberries Id guess. but , to each their own. my 1/2 pack is going back , or Ill send it to you for postage only then you can take it back ! All I see going on here is expert marketing.
