@BetD your comment on cookbook backgrounds reminded me , of Alton Brown's cookbooks . Im a fan of his shows sans the CIA like minders , and some of the histrionics , but not all of them if there were three of the cookbooks Im sure I have the first two , possibly the thrid and whom ever ' Formatted ' those books missed the point of Adobe Software especially while enjoying a .... or three ...

Id go to In-N-Out for sure as I said , its unfortunate that the temp of the bun and lettuce/tomato/mayo ( Dept.Health ? ) degraded the flavor of the beef I think , Trust fund aside these days , 5 guys are for the toppings Sooo many , and the fries. In--Out is a sort of Mcd/BK/Jacks that puts all those chains to shame ! ShakeShake over all is the best . the bun is warmed and has a mouth feel where the bun was lightly coated in grill grease ( very tasty GG ) when I first went to SS its noted here on a thread the SmokSshake was around $ 7..++ and not that large so it seemed relatively expensive but the flavor , bite by bite was worth it. do wonder what a SS costs these days. P.S. : https://realmenuprices.com/shake-shack-menu-prices/ and https://www.fastfoodmenuprices.com/five-guys-prices/

@Kim Shook very nice eggs and so delicious ? you will be abe to make them all the time w the iPot [ sealed ] on low pressure ib a basket above the 1 cup used for pressure steaming @Shelby did this a long time ago in the early iPot history. you take the basket out, after it time in the iPot then chill it in cold water then work w those eggs later .

@ElsieD Wow ! '' 5 beef cheeks '' Id suggest this , never having a beef cheek myself , to look into there are various way , delicious many to deal with the tougher parts of the Cow. Id suggest just SV , perhaps a little minimal trimmign w a light seasoning , that's Beef-y I like penzies chicago steak and Saures Roat Prime Rib . no mater just thyme , rosemary , perhaps a bit of garlic if you that sort of thing: for the best thinly sliced meat for the Best ' Not Roast Beef 'sandwich you ever tasted 130.1 for 24 hrs ? 36 H ? the Week SVd expert know this , and here if the Cheeks are Fz try this first . then move on to seasons etc

@FeChef '' $0.99/lb deals ''' Wow ! you are old ! I think I remember $ 1.49 but my memory is hazy

my father also used the same steel scrubbers . did you use white or brown PP for your studies ? and , Im sure there is a bit of history in a pan that gleams for 96 % of its surface but has a History in its corners and other Historical Areas .
-
@weinoo do you feel that pan roasting on a pan w/o parchment paper ( the brown stuff is sicker than the white ) gives you better results than on the pan w parchment paper ? P.P. does do fond , sometimes it slides right off or is it a Personal Historical choice ? my father did the dishes and my mother did the cooking I recall evening watching him scour the pans w a brillo pad he seemed to find it therapeutic . OK some of the time . there is that '' Restaurant Patina '' quality w the black corners etc that does have its place

@TdeV id say , think os pea shoots grilling romain not as a vegetable i.e. something to cook but as a garnish, it does matter a bit on their maturity fhink lettuce : Salad, root beef sandwich like that grilling romaine lettuce is one thing but P.S, are not romaine flash Wok'd 10 seconds would be nice. as th P.S'swould ick uo the garlic , ginger etc from the Wok as you addd those ingredients fist in moderation so you cab taste the shoots, they don't really taste like peas more like mild green shoots.

@Tropicalsenior excellent ideas ! then : if the cake is thicker , than 1/2 the width of the Cutrer ? what happens to the crumbs above the 1/2 ?? maybe that's why this didn't Sell and I don't have one ? [ed': even an older one , of its Prime Time ? .. From my mother or grandmother ? ] re : Angel Food : my mother bakes AF eom time to time while growing up. I was fascinated that it had sit upside sone , to cool do not know how it was cut . it was very good w fresh local strawberries and home made whipped cream
