If you find yourself on the plaza in Old Mesilla on a market day, look for Don Rogelio and his salsas. He is quite the character! Have a great trip! -
Avocado, bacon, shredded cheese, grilled chicken breast, tomatoes, hard cooked egg, and black olives on a bed of romaine. Ranch dressing on the side. One of my favorites!

One of my lady friends and I got together for lunch today at Rudy and Paco in Galveston. I had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake (served over Chipotle Cream Sauce) appetizer as my meal. And my lady friend had the Pollo Carmelo (Grilled Chicken breast in a white wine lemon butter, topped with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes). We each had a glass (or two) of white wine with our meal!

I started reading this topic this morning and well before lunch time I was craving a bowl. I had some leftover grilled pork, a hard cooked egg, green onion and some button mushrooms in the fridge and the dried noodle packet with the soup base in the pantry. All set! This is the first time I have added egg to the dish. I liked it!

Hello all! I haven't posted here in way too long, but that does not mean I have not been having lunch with my lady friends! Yesterday, a lady friend and I revisited a favorite - Lilly Seafood Restaurant in League City. My friend had the grilled catfish (not pictured) and I had my favorite - the jumbo grilled shrimp with dirty rice and vegetables.

I thought I had pulled out a portion of pork tenderloin to thaw for a stir-fry but ended up with pork loin chops instead. Oh well, change of menu! Pan-Seared Pork Chops In Wine Sauce

Last night, we baked a couple of thick pork butt steaks at 350 F for an hour and then tossed on to a very hot grill just long enough to crisp up the edges and put the marks on.
