Yeah, the online service for my little Walmart did not offer some things that I thought would probably be on the shelves, so I decided to not place an order and just went in to shop for myself at 7:30 am. Very few other customers. Almost all were wearing masks and practicing good social distancing. The items that were listed as not available on the online service were in stock on the shelves. I got all of the items on my list, plus a few more. It was so nice to be able to choose my own produce!

I am okay with that.

Well, I looked at mine and could not see the fan turning, then did the post it note test and no wind. I guess that explains the lack of noice when I use convection bake. My unit was purchased less than two years ago. The unit has a three year limited warranty. I ordered it through amazon.com and received the Canadian model. I have sent off an email with photos of the unit and invoice to the Conair Canadian center, asking how I can get my unit repaired or replaced, as I live in the USA. Other than lack of fan function, the unit works just fine.

Thunderstorms caused a change in our plans. We did get the chicken cooked on the grill before the rain came, but we ate inside instead of out on the patio. Oh well. Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Nothing fancy ~ leftover flour tortilla, bacon and shredded cheese ~ wrapped in a paper towel and heated in the microwave oven. Hit the spot!

Plans are for Chicken Fajita Quesadillas, Taquitos and Spicy Pinto Beans out on the patio by the pool. Just the two of us, but no reason not to have a good time!

Grilled Jalapeño Sausage (with Red Onion and Mustard) and Sautéed Zucchini and Tomatoes (with Serrano Pepper and Herbs)

With the supply chain interruptions happening and/or coming for beef, pork and poultry, etc., I am now glad that our freezer is relatively well stocked. I went through the freezer today, adding labels to containers that I had been too lazy to label when they went in and updated my inventory sheet. I feel confident that we have enough protein and ready made items to make 45 or more dinners for two, so do not feel the need to go out and binge buy.

I must confess to looking it up on the Lone Star web site. I will not reveal the answer, but the bird in the first line was the part that made it so hard, for me, to solve.

Maybe it is just me, but that method does not sound safe to me. I am glad you did not get electrocuted!

That’s the model I was sent as well. Seems to be the same, but with both English and French in the manual.

I haven’t tried it with the light, so can’t say. But I have tried other brands and I have had the best success with the Frigo brand.

Really more of a snack, but this was my lunch today. Mock Garlic Toast ~ I use Frigo brand Original String Cheese. Melted in a bit of hot oil and seasoned with garlic powder, parsley flakes and parmesan cheese.
