  1. Peach sorbet: it's delicious! (I forgot to take the temperature before I spun it.)
  2. How does such a thing happen?
  3. Happy belated birthday! That was a fine mini-trip you went on. All the food looked delicious but I have to admit, I was blown away by the chocolates. They look amazing.
  4. I found the recipe for blackberry sorbet and the author loved it but did note that it was so soft as ro be almost not scoopable. What would fix this? Less dextrose?
  5. I read that earlier today and printed the chart. I found fhe use of corn syrup interesting. I have some white corn syrup that I will use for that peach sorbet I want to make. I have some Fruit Fresh which I'll use to hopefully keep the peaches from browning.
  6. Thank you! Would the lemon juice would also keep the peaches from turning brown?
  7. I have frozen peaches. Can I thaw them then blitz them in the vitamin, sweeten to taste, freeze and then spin it on sorbet?
  8. I don't like radishes or turnips either except for hakurei turnips. They are small, white turnips and don't have that strong, bitter taste. They are delicious. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised if you were to try them. The way my CSA operates is that before the season starts, they send you a list of what they produce. You rate everything according to your preferences on a scale of 1 to 5. Thus, 1 means don't ever send me this, 5 means I love the stuff, while a three means send it sometimes. A few days before delivery they send you a list of what you will be getting based on your preferences. You are allowed to switch something on your list to something not on your favourite list with whatever else they have available. In my first basket, having previously said I would like parsley 'sometimes" I switched it for romaine lettuce as I did not need parsley. That system works well. I will never be offered a radish or a turnip. After reading @liamsaunt's post I'll add that you can buy extras for an additional charge.
  9. That is correct. I did not know this. Next time I'll take temperatures. My ice cream right now is -7 Celsius, 19.4 F.
  10. I have never tried the muffins from Metro but their baked goods are actually pretty good. Both the Front Street Bakery and the Premiere Moiisson stuff. I don't know if Premiere Moisson does muffins but Front Street does. Might be worth looking at.
  11. What make is the container?
  12. Will do, thank you.
  13. Sorry, I put the Breville churned ice cream into a Creamiint as well.
  14. No, I never have. I don't know much about the science behind this stuff (accountants seldom do) but the rwo Creami pints were sitting side by side in the freezer and both had been in there 24 hours. Can the temps be different?
  15. $355.70 on Amazon.ca Sold and shipped by a third party. Wonder how many they'll sell? 4 in stock at the moment.
  16. Yesterday I made the raspberry ice cream using a recipe from Rose's Ice Cream Bliss. I put 1 cup in a Creami container and put it in the freezer. The rest I churned in my Breville ice cream maker. Today, I spun the half pint in the Creami on ice cream. It was way too soft so it is being re-frozen. The ice cream churned in the Breville was perfect. How does it happen that the ice cream setting on the Creami turns my ice cream into gloop? It has happened before and now I'm wondering if next time rather than using the ice cream setting I should use another setting? The lite ice cream perhaps? Any ideas? This is a custard based ice cream if that makes any difference.
  17. I tried another hash brown patty/fried egg combo. I set the timer for 12 minures and pre-heated to 400F. In went the patty. At 4 minutes left, my little pan went in to pre-heat. At 2 minutes, the egg went in. Pulled with 30 seconds to go. The yolk was slightly overcooked, next time I'll check it at the one minute mark. @Anna N the egg was not ruffled. I did strain the watery stuff off before putting it in the pan.
  18. Sorry, I mean the one before the sailboat. It looks like the facade of a building.
  19. @Kim Shook What is that first picture of?
  20. Like this? https://www.amazon.ca/Sitram-Cybernox-Quart-Saucier-Cover/dp/B00009A9VF/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3GGIZ0C5QU272&keywords=Sitram+saucier&qid=1657665102&sprefix=sitram+saucier%2Caps%2C134&sr=8-1
  21. Kinda looks like one of mine but mine is not riveted. But then, maybe they all sort of look like that.

My Ninja has that tray also and nothing has fallen through yet. But then, I haven't had it very long.
