  1. Egads! I forgot about the ribs (backs only please) and the bacon!
  2. Pan toasted bun, mustard, dill relish/pickle and onions.
  3. I made a loaf of sandwich bread this week using this yeast. Has anyone else used it? The packet contains a bit of rye flour which is why the bread is darker in colour. Very good bread.
  4. I think pork shoulder or butt are my favorite pork cuts.
  5. StainedShirt. Great name and welcome to the forum.
  6. We had this again last night. There are just the two of us, and we eat the whole thing. I like the idea of adding some lemon juice, I'll do that next time. I also like the broccoli idea, I may try that as well.
  7. What has happened to me is that phyllo goes soft if it is covered while it is still warm.
  8. I made a Korean chicken recipe for dinner last night that called for spinach. Half of it is left so I am making the shrimp dish again. It's delicious. You will love it with or without the spinach.
  9. Shucks. Some folks bear me to it. Here's mine:
  10. Give it to John who has a high tolerance for heat.😁
  11. I bought it at T & T, the Asian grocery. They had several different brands but I picked this one because it was mentioned here. It comes in a regular version and a hot and spicy one. I have the regular one. Maybe @johnnyd could chime in and tell us how spicy the hot and spicy one is?
  12. The other day I picked up a bottle of Jufran Banana Sauce mentioned upthread. It so happened that we were having mac 'n cheese for supper and as I usually eat it with a side of ketchup I tried this instead. I doubt I will ever buy ketchup again.
  13. This is really interesting. My sister mixes Lipton's onion soup in her rice before cooking it. Maybe we need to start a new topic along the lines of "Cooking with Lipton's onion soup".
  14. So, no liquids? Just the roast rubbed with the dry soup mix?
  15. Tell me more about the pork roast and the Lipton's onion soup mix.
  16. I called Cuisinart Canada. Cuisinart CANADA is still making them for the Canadian market. To find out if they are still making them for the American market, you need to contact Cuisinart US. Cuisinart Canada said they did not know what was happening there. Not much info for 50 minutes on hold.

  18. I finally made the jalapeno poppers yesterday. I cooked up 6 pieces of bacon after which they were chopped and mixed in with the cheese. The cheese was a bit of an odd assortment - cream cheese, old cheddar and some Garlic and Fine Herbs Boursin. I toasted panko crumbs in a bit of bacon fat and topped the poppers. Baked @350F for about 20 minutes. Tasty little devils. I have some of the cheese stuffing left and I think I'll mixed some dried jalapeno bits with it, spread it on a toasted English muffin and broil it until the cheese melts.
