@gfwebMother's Day is what I always aimed for, too, when planting tomatoes. Sigh. Ronnie never listens to me. Maybe he will next year. He works so hard and does such a good job growing plants from seed in the greenhouse. They looked beautiful. Then they got really big and absolutely had to be planted--much too early.......I'm a big believer in the temp. of the dirt being at least 60F....it wasn't. I don't know if that's the reason or a combo of a lot of reasons but half the plants have died. The others look awful. I'm hoping they will snap out of it. We tried to buy some from the nursery a couple of days ago, but they weren't available any more. So, we will see. Last summer I wasn't really up to doing much health-wise. This summer I'm feeling better so there better be tomatoes to can! However, I've never had such beautiful onions. It's hard to tell but some of those greens are over 3' tall!

@DejahBoy do I want those chicken feet. I haven't been to the market to get some of those for such a long time. I've not been good at meal planning lately. I look up and it's five already with no idea what to make. So I pour a glass of wine and drink until something comes to me lol. Breakfast--frozen biscuits, stuffed jalapeños, venison sausage, eggs, and gravy. Fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans Venison taco salads Really good turkey paninis--I had leftover jalapeño stuffing which is just cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions and smoked paprika mixed together. Threw that on the sandwich on a whim. My cleaning angel friend is having a really hard time with her Lyme's disease and hasn't been able to clean since early January. We are keeping in touch, though, and the other day she felt well enough to stop over for a visit! I gave her a lot of fish that Ronnie had just caught and she gave us fresh picked strawberries from her patch! SO sweet and good. And so very nice of her. I froze 3 bags And had the rest over a little white cake that I made with some sweetened whipped cream. Last night was quesadillas to use up some left over steak.

Ronnie really likes the New England clam chowder. Many a winter day he has this for lunch in his man-garage.

I LOVE HARBISON! My favorite all time. I hope they have it when I shop tomorrow. Do you remember how much it was?

You should be able to pull up your order--I use my iPhone so on your computer it might be slightly different--I go to Orders and then click on the order with the problem. On top of the order then is a Report Issue button so I click that. Then you can choose the item (s) with the problem and you immediately get a credit back on that item. You can either get a refund to your credit card or a store credit towards your next order. Hope this helps.

It is here in KS....for potlucks, family reunions (shudder) and such.

I'm with @kayb. Easy for me. Boil the elbow macaroni or whatever shape you want in salted water. Drain. Dump back into the pot you boiled in. Stir in cubes of Velveeta OR Cheez Whiz in the jar. Bit of black pepper. Keep warm and stir a bit. Done. I often add my canned tomatoes. Sometimes peppers if I want spicy. I've used leftover Velveeta cheese dip too.

I was just going to ask what that long grass looking stuff is. Sounds good!

I completely agree.

Thanks for this. I just sent a text and a link to my cleaning angel friend. She loves pasta and can't eat it--maybe this will do the trick

This looks really good. I like and buy salad kits a lot especially during the winter. Misfits had them at a good price. I've never seen this type with the quinoa before.

@DuvelThat all looks delicious and your terrace sounds relaxing. @Ann_TI need to drag my air fryer out and make chips--yours look so good. Ronnie caught more walleye--did them dipped in panko this time-- so, that, and some fried mushrooms First radishes from the garden with meatloaf sandwiches--meatloaf, caramelized onions, sharp cheddar, a bit of mayo and mustard and pickles Venison cheese burger pizza Hot wings, asparagus from the garden, and cheesy broccoli and rice done in the IP Derby Day dinner here

Well, I feel I have to make a comment ....I won't go into depth but my heart breaks for the horses that were lost and their connections. It's still safer and better than it was years ago. Switching gears, I always get teary during the National Anthem and My Old Kentucky Home. AND I straight out cried during the Cody's Wish segment. I was so thrilled that he won. Two Phil's (yes the apostrophe misuse makes me nuts but I'm anal like that lol) was my main horse. Was happy he got second. Had Forte not scratched his money line odds would have been a lot better. On to the food. Mostly a repeat from last year: Hot Browns--my homemade bread, toasted, roasted turkey, not great store bought tomatoes that I roasted, cheese sauce, bacon and topped with parsley and green onions Roasted a turkey breast again--same temp 350F in CSO steam bake setting. Took about an hour and a half as it was a much bigger breast than last year. Did some deviled eggs this year because unlike last year they aren't a zillion dollars a dozen. Fries Had some good pecans in the freezer so I made a Derby Pie with fresh whipped cream for dessert. On to the Preakness!
