  1. you are a sick, sick man. however, i stop at McDonalds for breakfast whenever i'm hungover. 3, 4 times a week. actually, maybe once or twice a month for breakfast. lunch, however, i think i'm too embarrassed to say. never ever ever for dinner. i just realized that. i wonder why that is?
  2. that sam sure does ramble on. i hope this means FG can take a break from rambling on. that's great news, sam! you've put more thought into your 200 posts than i have all of mine combined.
  3. you should try the McNuggets and Filet O Fish.
  4. What is it, then? beef?
  5. and when the ice melts? oh boy. nothin worse than melted ice cubes made from bad water. they're often yucky when made from good water as well.

    Triangolo

it seems that different people have different levels of tolerance for food quality, nastiness, and cost.
  8. a regular "he-said-she-said" thread this one's turning into.
  9. is fink bringing a whole hog? or is it bringing it pulled/carved already. just wondering.

    Fantasy sandwich

oh my god that sounds incredible!!! but seriously, you're usually stoned when you make this sandwich, yes?
  12. not to worry. everyone, remember to bring 4 dollars in singles or quarters. we don't want anyone throwing in a whole 5 dollar bill or anything crazy like that.
  13. yeah, that's not too bad heather. about an hour i'd think. i'll take care of the plates, cutlery, cups, napkins, and garbage bags. since i'm anti-social and a neat-freak, i'll probably spend most of the day putting all that stuff in the garbage bags anway. i don't know how many people are bringing coolers, but i'm sure if everyone just threw a couple of bags of ice in, we'll be fine. unless there's a need for ice that i'm not thinking of.
  14. those prices sound very reasonable, if not unbelievable. however, in my experience, people use a lot more than 1 plate and 1 fork and 1 cup.

i thought you were asking why one wouldn't go to a place like USC, which has good food and good service, rather than a lesser place. i think "price" is a good reason why they wouldn't. i'm assuming USC is a bit more expensive than Triangolo. a lot of people "settle" for "less than excellent" food for a lot of reasons. condescending service being just one. count me as one of those people. if you'd like, i can explain it all to you, but i'm sure you actually understand and your question is just rhetorical. although, i find most of the nasty service comes from mid-range places. very strange, considering they generally aren't special enough to return to.
  16. which north plainfield? southern jersey? or central jersey. exit 10 where? wha? who? huh?
  17. oh dude, absolutely! it's as far from N. Plainfield as it is for everyone else. mapquest says 1.5 hours. sounds like a lot though. it's about 60 miles according to them (although i bet it's less with a hiway route), so that would hopefully be just a bit over an hour.
  18. not to sound like my father, but, how do you know you don't like it unless you've tried it? i think the risk is pretty low, considering the amount of fast food consumed all over the globe every hour, and the number of people getting sick from it. i had a double whopper today. mmmmmmmm.
  19. it seems obvious that ice will have to be divided up between a few people. i'm not sure how much we'll need, but a cooler only holds about 4 bags or so.
  20. 70 ppl throwing in an extra dollar is a lot easier than 2 people throwing in 35 plus wine. (and i'm guessing the number will be a bit more than that) anyway, it's not so much the money. but, perhaps a little brainstorming on *how much* of this stuff might be needed. i can't really get my head around this. and god knows with the way they sell plastic utensils, we'll have 300 spoons leftover. also, people might forget bags and it's one more thing to worry about for 70 people. i'll bring a freakin box of bags. jeesh.
  21. that was a rough night for me.
  22. stupid question: where is it?
  23. i can't afford to not consider going to this.

price? additionally, anyone who has dined in NYC a decent amount of times and not come across "attitude", at least the kind that i'm understanding is objectionable to thereuare, is probably pretty lucky.
  25. yeah, just like it is at every other company and office building in NYC. oh wait, it's not. so much for that theory.
