You might try Terriorcoffee.com. Their Costa Rican La Lapa coffees are excellent and come in reg. and decafe. You also might want to check out coffeereview.com I never seem to be disappointed by their reveiws and selections. I recently got a Bunn MCP single serve machine for my office and started to use Cafejo pods (again on the internet) makes a great cup of coffe.

I'm waiting to receive one for my office. You've had it for a couple of months now. What do you think.

Well, Frenchy is always a good adjective, in my book! Where, exactly, in Jersey, are these places? Kiddle will be ready for another meat meal in a week or so.... (watching 16 year old rub her tummy after finishing off a pound of fresh rare roast of cow.. ). ← Hot Grill in Clifton or Johnie and Hanges in Patterson/Fairlawn if you like the Tater Tot style
-
In Jersey you can get a similar plate at most Texas weiner places, Frenchy all the way. It consists of french fries, mustard, chopped raw onions, and Texas weiner sauce. Add a couple of Texas weiners to the plate and some hot sauce and ketchup (the way I like it) and you've got a masterpeice. One place I know uses tater tots instead of FF.

I noticed Jason's posting of the secret Deli in Englewood and it made me think of this place in Pal Park. Its all the way past the main strip of Broad on the east side of the block. Its a small store that you could easily pass by. When you go inside they have large steamers and women making Korean steamed buns. The buns look like their Chinese brothers but are totally different animal, not at all sweet like Chinese buns and much larger. Next to the steamer They have soups, that I haven't tried, and the station where they make the buns, the dumpling and the pancakes. The dumpling are my favorite, they come in three flavors and two sizes. There is Kimchee, shrimp and chive, and pork. They are perfect for "steamfrying" or adding to soups. The pancakes are vegetable, seafood, and kimchee. They have the usual selection of kimchee, most of it homemade, and the best part is that English is spoken and understood. BTW Its only takeout. You mean A Taste Of Greece. It's Greek To Me is in Englewood, Maywood and Cliffside Park. ← Its also in Westwood on Broadway (near Kinderkamack) and Ridgewood on Ridgewood Ave.

Dana, You might also try Goffle Road Poultry Farm (in Ridgewood). They have many sizes and types of super fresh eggs. They also have the best fresh Turkey and chicken

We tried to go for the first time on Sat night around 10 pm. The place was jumping. As we walked in the door the greeter pointed out a list of items that they were out of (almost everything). This is a nice touch, it cuts down on the disappointment. We decided to head up to Dinosaur which was also hopping (we had to wait about 20 minutes) and had a great meal of fried green tomatoes, wings, ribs and a brisket rueban wqashed down with redneck mojitos and Sam Adams.

I'd suggest Seasons, 644 Pascack Rd Washington Twshp 201 664 6164. Although it is a catering hall the food is always excellent and you know that your party size is no problem.

About 10 minutes down Lake St in Woodcliffe Lake is Gen (14 Chestnut Ridge Road). It's in a shopping center with two other very good restaurants. Gen not only excells in sushi, sashimi and inventive rolls, but also has "new style" sushi and sashimi ala Nobu. If you put yourself in the hands of the sushi chef you will not be dissapointed. The othe two restaurants in the shopping center are a Kosher Deli, good not great.and a very good Chinese restaurant that has excellent Dim Sum on Sat. & Sun. starting at 11am.

Susan I have worked in the area for many years. Clifton, Paterson,& Passaic are a hotbed of ethnic food; Middle Eastern, Mexican, Spanish, and Polish. It's also probably the world capital of Texas Weiners, but take your mom to La Riveria(see Nizza above).
-
Glen How about Martins Potato Buns, about $2.29 in the supermarket probably 60% or less wholesale. White Manna uses them and it makes a big difference in the burger "package".
-
The cart is open Mon. Thru Sat. They open very early (I pass there every morning at 6:30am) and close around 6 pm. The line on the weekend can be quite long.

If you want to make the 30 minute run down the Palisades to Han Ah Rhum in Little Ferry or Ridgefield (NJ) you'll be very happy.

Jerry's on Dean St in Englewood. Much better than Costco, Carrado's or TJ's. Also generally cheaper.

I went with my son(13) and two of his football buddies(13 and 15) for lunch yesterday. I think we were the first people in the store, as Geoff and his wife? were in the kitchen and no one else was around. I introduced myself as an egulleteer from NJ with three hungary teenagers and asked them to bring us some food. Two orders of wings (super), a full rack of ribs ( done just the way I like them; juicy, not quite falling off the bone and very meaty) a chopprd brisket sandwich (not to my liking) and a carolina style chopped pork sandwich on a great bun. We also had two orders of fries, baked beans, rice and beans and coleslaw, all done perfect. All this food was inhaled by my son and his football freinds in about 20 minutes. They left me a few scraps. All in all superior BBQ. A nice trip and a great meal.

All the time. Mr Lee is gone, but they've kept the the style and the quality up. The owner seems to try a little harder now. Btw that shopping center has two excellent rest. Gen and Canton Garden (very good dim sum on Sat and Sun that gets very packed) and a good Kosher deli.
-
If you haven't been to these restautrants why comment? I've been to China 46 and Canton Garden many times and they are two different birds. Both are top notch in what they do. Maybe its time for a dinner there.

If this place is anything like the place in Hillsdale its a nice fancy Chinese American place that you can take your grandmother or aunt to. A better choice would be Canton Garden on Chestnut Ridge Road in Montvale. Its in the same shopping center as Gen, a very good Japanese restaurant. Canton Garden has dim sum on the weekends starting at 11am and gets very crowded but is worth the trip. Their regular menu is generally Cantonese.

Let me add two more: Village Baker, Clifton. Besides having some great pastry they make killer ruggelusch (esp. the chocolate and the cinn. raisin) Homemade Pierogi, Clifton. All varieties esp. the mushroom

Here's a short list that comes to mind. Jerry's Englewood, three liter house brand Sicilian Evoo for $9.99. Super. Hot Grill Clifton, FF all the way. Spicy mustard, chopped onions, chili over crispy fries add a little hot sauce and you've got a masterpeice. Calandra Bakery Fairfeild, round Italian rolls and seeded French bread. Baked fresh every hour 7am to 9pm. Rockland Bakery Nanuet NY, Kaiser rolls. Pick your own straight from the ovens. Fatals Bakery Patterson, falafels straight from the fryer. They also make great cheese pies in their brick oven besides having anice selection of Middle Eastern groceries and a Halal butcher in store that makes excellent Syrian style spicy sausages (lamb). Thats just a few to get started.

I got a suggestion. Why don't you hop on a plane, fly down to West Palm, rent a car, drive a 1/2 hour south to Delray Beach and right in town on Atlantic Ave is a nice Tapas place called Mano A Mano. Decent inexpensive wine list, good strong mixed drinks, wonderful white anchovies. A roasted onion with Cabrales. A nice skirt steak. It sure beats gut bombs from WC.

THANKS for reviving this, Tommy! I had no clue that this place existed in NJ. Just remember, everything good to eat in NYC comes from New Jersey. You just have to look around.
