  1. Also 🤣. I think at some point everyone forgets a step, eventually!
  2. And R.G. bean cookery.🤣
  3. I’ve seen a few over the years, but, as you noted, having “potato skin” on the inside was something I found fascinating.
  4. Today around lunchtime I was joking with husband (after the usual “What do you want? I dunno, what do you feel like?….”). I said “It’d be easier if we ate like Max (cat in avatar). Then you posted the above. 😂 apparently it is possible! Here’s Max’s food.
  5. That’s what made me think it would be a good thing for my problem!
  6. No APO here, but, the CLR left a weird aftertaste/smell, regardless of how many flushing with clean water cycles I ran. It’s white vinegar for me for food contact things.
  7. No! My experience with a (far less expensive) coffee maker taught me to never use CLR to clean food related items.
  8. Also, eggs are weird, sometimes they just don’t do what they’re supposed to do. After tons of 5 minute hard cooked eggs that just about peeled themselves, I got a batch that ended up cratered like the moon after my peeling attempts, they just wouldn’t give up their shells. Chucked the remains into the fridge for egg salad, did a second batch from the same carton and they came out perfect! Go figure…
  9. I did a half recipe (2 lbs of potatoes, everything else halved), and they are very good. I might cut back on the garlic powder a bit, but it wasn’t overwhelming, just a bit more forward than I expected.
  10. Here’s a link to the Bimbo USA brands. I’m sure you’ve heard of some of them.
  11. At the local Vons (part of the Albertsons, Safeway, etc. family), AA Large eggs are now $4.99 for 18 “cage free”, the lowest available grade/size. Of course our local economy (and grocery selection) is now heavily influenced by being the primary retail access point to Joshua Tree National Park.
  12. Such as Thermo Magnetic Imaging? 🤣
  13. @JoNorvelleWalkerTMI=Too Much Information
  14. Gotcha! Like unscrewing (at least older) Tupperware. 🙃
  15. What?? Don’t unscrew the lid = no sweet ‘n icy treat! 😕
  16. Maybe you could “special request” them from your favorite tomato vendor (maybe with a little something to help them remember food/nice card appreciating their dedication to agriculture and finer produce), or maybe say something along the lines of “One of my fondest childhood memories is my mother’s/grandmother’s fried green tomatoes. I know I can rely on you to help me out.”.
  17. They refer to it as a “soil amendment”.
  18. It appears to be a newer version of this FoodCycler, video from before they affiliated with VitaMix.
  19. Thanks! How long can you keep them? Are they still good after 1 or 2 days? I only have a little experience with erythritol.
  20. Given the current availability issues many of us face I don’t think you were at all early. Thanks for your gentle nudge to get started gathering supplies, even though it’s just the two of us.
  21. No worries about my reply, I have weird and questionable dreams, but that was never among them. Again, no worries.
  22. Okay, just trying to get the lay of the the land. So, no pan spray because you’re out. Why not “grease and flour” (butter and flour)? Or parchment for the bottom and butter the sides?
  23. I should have said “the link wording”, thus, not implicating you at all.😊
  24. Sorry, but your link wording confused me. You will still be able to send that lovely (hideous) sweater to cousin Jimmy at his home address, but, you will have the option of using his email or mobile phone number.
