I want to know what I'm paying before I make a decision. Seems like one of those 'if you have to ask - you can't afford it' ideas to try to shame you into not asking the price. I've been in a shitload of high end chocolate shops - prices are clearly marked.

But occasional fingers!

Exactly the thought I had. So Elsie may be the only lucky one because I got the round pan for Anna.

We will have to see if we can find our hard candy guru -
@Alleguede and B were here last night - 60 panettone finish tomorrow- then that’s it for the season! I know @ElsieD has ordered hers…

Not in my opinion. See how it tempers

What's to debate - of course you should!

Down visiting @patris this weekend - for breakfast this morning she made cabbage and onion pancakes with cottage cheese and dill Please note - a black plastic spatula was used - and we are still alive! A lemony, dilly yogurt sauce accompanied these.

First 2 pics - @patris's dipping which she claims wasn't beautiful! Second 2 - my dipping which is put to shame by her dipping! The last pic is some gluten free crackers from Trader Joes dipped for my friend who is eating low fodmap. @patris didn't care for the crackers as is (in either their gluten filled or gluten free form) - but finds them tolerable dipped in chocolate.

Down for the weekend visiting @patris. We visited a place we haven't been for a lot of years. Veggie pita for @patris Added a mushroom, artichoke heart and caramelized onion 7incher for me - way to much food! Tomato basil soup - asiago cheese, crunchy croutons - just as good as ever.

Not really a Santa's workshop this year - but I took the opportunity to pop down to visit with @patris this weekend and she is working on some items to give away at work this week - so I'm up for helping. The reveal will come later after these are unmolded - but it's a 'gingerbread cookie' ganache - doesn't contain any cookies with the flavour is spot on. There will be Twix bars later. Neglected to get a picture when made - but this is Trader Joes ginger thins and orange bark. And this is the peppermint bark that @patris made earlier this week. Peanut butter and feullitine meltways

Almost same recipe I got from my mother except only 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tbsp of vinegar. I think it was the one published on the lard box. I make up to 3/4 cup with ice water. I add some everclear to make it easier to handle - it disappears in the baking.

I certainly have one in each of my 3 fridges (and in the drawers of a big chest of drawers I bought a few years back that didn't smell so good - in spite of being new). But it was a bag of charcoal that was the winner to get rid of the odor after the dry aging primal that was in the fridge on the week that I was away and hubby decided to do some electrical work and unplugged the all fridge fridge.

What is a Nesco calrod? I could attach the A4 box to my Kill-a-Watt but it will probably be on its way to its new home before I can do that.
-
Ball thingy for aebleskiver and takoyaki.
-
Give them my phone number and I'll get it to them.
-
I'm in Aldershot. Where are they coming from?
-
Know anyone home down here soon?
-
Anna's A4 box is sitting in the kitchen here at work, waiting to someone to recognize how wonderful it is and take it home.

Cocoa Butter Silk with Revolation Series Temperers?
Kerry Beal replied to a topic in Pastry & Baking
You can simply use the RevX as a melter - get your chocolate melted and at 33.5 º C (you don't need to go all the way up to a higher temperature and back down) and add 1% EZtemper silk. You can have melted chocolate on both sides of the baffle. -
Looks enrobed to me.

Same price I think - with any luck shipping will be less but don't hold your breath with Canada Post out.
