  1. Looks like a mold for a steamed pudding. That was my first thought - then looking at @Margaret Pilgrim's post I realize it has a center post. So flan it is!
  2. I'm sure some of the stuff in my house is more than 10 years old - low available water - low fat so little risk of rancidity. I use it!
  3. So that's the 8 lb size? Going to suggest you contact Melangers.com and talk to them about getting a new set of stones with the stainless setup. Confirm with them the setting of the nut - but we have been told to turn until it starts to grab then one full turn. If you hear any squeaking or other similar noises back off til they stop. The new stones have the metal washers that don't come out - you'll be thrilled!
  4. You are tightening too much. You get smoother faster when there is actually a tiny big of space between the wheels and stones. You need to replace I would say. What brand is it?
  5. I missed that demo - I did see her doing it and it looked like it was going well and I did manage to taste a small shard and have brought one dipped piece home.
  6. I broke it - then sucked @alleguede in to help me.
  7. Came out well - flavour wasn't as complex as I would have liked but apparently sap can change throughout the season.
  8. Hopefully as everyone gets home they put up their pictures. Also as we have done in past years - if you could suggest one thing you learned from the workshop. That's my favorite part.
  9. Using the inexpensive theragun substitute to level out the slab. Today I managed to use that slab to break the first string on the guitar.
  10. Day 2 cherry filled croissants.
  11. Got a few random pictures - this is Bernie's second batch of sponge toffee - this one worked nicely - he enrobed a bunch of it.
  12. Apparently gummies attach themselves permanently to parchment.
  13. Now - where did I put that plastic wrap?
  14. Here you go for proportion - the egg is about 5 inches tall
  15. Here you go Bob - got it in 1
  16. We totally impressed all the other diners when we pulled out our show and tell and put them on a side table.
  17. Last nights communal dinner held outside on the patio at TCB - Taco's Community and Beer Served buffet style for our group - chicken, barbacoa and a vegetable option. Chips, salsas, guacamole
  18. Breakfast - made for me by @patris - hope the ketchup won't offend. Lunch set up - Rodney's breads Forgot breakfast pastry pics - hope someone took
  19. Willow, Gaylene and Ruth have been in NYC for the past couple of days - walking their feet off! So I'm looking forward to them adding a small report here if they will. They visited some chocolate shops and some iconic sites. Rodney, Patty and I shared dinner last night from Falafel Bar - so falafel, deep fried cauliflower, brik, chicken cutlet, Israeli salad and pita. A little more food than required!
  20. Well folks - it has been a long time since our last report in 2019. We are here in Buffalo getting ready to head off to start our first of 3 days of play! Breakfast will be ready!
  21. Going to start a report now - for anyone who hasn't figured it out yet we are starting at Tomric 9 o'clock this am. Address is 85 River Rock Road and come in the Innovation Center entrance. Dinner will be at TCB - 1275 Delaware Ave
