Welcome @kriirk - looking forward to giving this a try. Any suggestions on how big a pan would be appropriate?
-
Will need a much bigger vacuform!
-
Got a video of how you use that sucker? I suspect if it melts then it will throw the chocolate out of temper making it look even more obvious but it's an interesting idea.
-
When are you here next?
-
You have made me very happy.

Do you think it looks more male or female? Thinking shawl vs jacket - wonder if the arms will work with a jacket - making shawl preferred. I’m getting a male bunny vibe myself
-
Yeah - it’s a problem when it needs handling.

It's all I can do to lift this mold when it's partly full of chocolate - I can't picture the logistics of doing what you suggest without the entire room becoming covered in chocolate. I'll try it with a round mold - but I'll have to find another way to mold this one successfully.

I do take a lot of stuff to the hospital to work on - but I haven't got the counter space there for chocolate.
-
Interesting idea - I have freeze spray - wish I had time for getting this all done. 24 hour shift yesterday and another tomorrow.
-
I give everything a quick 'cold' wipe as I go along to remove the excess - the hot plate doesn't get brought out until the end.
-
That would be really neat if I could make it happen!
-
Can you picture how I could do this with an open bottomed bunny?

Oh I got one - first one at Costco - turns out it doesn’t use the correct capsules - so had to return it and get another at their store. -

Yesterday when I was out dropping off some stuff at Value Village - one of my missions was to find a Nespresso for @Alleguede's new love who is coming from Italy tomorrow. Thought I'd just check and see if there was one in there. Nope - but.. there was a delicator. And god knows I need one. When I stopped in to Sobey's this am I asked the butcher what he used for his delicated pork - and he pointed me to these very inexpensive pieces. Ran them through a few times, floured, salt and pepper - needed some extra seasoning but didn't have any here. I have a trunk full of vacuum coffee pots - I used to collect them - which of course makes no sense for a girl who doesn't drink coffee. I'm just working on getting some pictures so I can list them on e-bay. The Keurig at work is belly up so I made coffee for the gang today. Of course the vacuum pots are all stainless and not induction compatible - problem solved with an induction skillet under the pot. A little disturbing today - making me wonder if it's an omen on my life saving skills. 4 trees full of vultures - and more circling. -
But how would I package Sleepy Hollow bunny - perhaps glue his head to his butt?

Roll the modeling chocolate on it
-
Hmmm - wonder how I could get that rough gauze and plaster look with white chocolate?
-
I can’t recall if I’ve ever successfully molded him - I know he’s broken more times than I care to count! I’d say around 4 kg

Trouble with flocking is it requires a frozen bunny. I have not got a freezer big enough to get this fellow frozen and it’s too warm outside now besides that it’s raining. The mummy is a fabulous idea

You overestimate my talents - drawing isn’t one of them

Doesn’t seem to help - it’s a mold issue up to a point. He’s pretty thick - weighs a ton!
-
Haven't done a lot of work with sugar paste - or even modeling chocolate for that matter - but it would likely make a better cape than painting inside the mold. Given the size of him I'd have rough time time flocking him in my 'spray booth' but the thought did cross my mind.

Women's auxiliary at the hospital to raffle. Probably won't do a lot of moving around once I get him wrapped up. He seems pretty stable when I tried to snap his head off. Painting won't give me shine either though. I'm wondering if I could fashion something in the way of a shawl. But not sure what I'd make it from. Perhaps I could mold it inside the mold itself then attach it to the bunny.

Might be. I'll text him.
