@Margaret Pilgrim, makes my mouth water. Perfectly cooked leg of lamb. @liamsaunt, your pasta is so pretty with all the colours. I need to make your pasta for Moe using some of the halibut I have in the freezer. @Duvel, you make the best pizzas. And with my favourite toppings. @Tropicalsenior, thanks for sharing your cottage cheese recipe. Matt loves cottage cheese. @Kim Shook, Happy Anniversary Kim and Mr. Kim. Last night's dinner. Beef Tenderloin Kebabs. Cooked on the grill.

Honey Garlic Chicken. This was suppose to be last night's dinner. But after I got home from work, Moe said he wasn't hungry so instead I made it for his breakfast and I'm working again today and will take the same for lunch.

Never cared for meatloaf until many years ago when I had it in the Magnolia restaurant in Charlotte SC. Up until then I wouldn't eat any meatloaf because they were always either coated in ketchup, tomato sauce or bbq sauce, none of which appealed to me. Magnolias was a veal based meatloaf served with a gravy and the meatloaf was grilled before serving. I came home from that vacation and recreated their meatloaf. Haven't made it recently. Need to do that soon. I would be happy to try Kim's meatloaf since it is smothered in gravy. No ketchup in sight.

Kim, me too. Can't go all winter without tomatoes. Pulled one of the Belfast Bap buns out of the freezer and made Moe a breakfast sandwich. Bacon and tomato.

Tonight's dinner. We were eating in less than an hour after I walked in the door from work. Steak and Frites with a wine sauce. NY Strip cooked on the grill. Fries double fried and steamed buttered zucchini.

@Kim Shook, I don't eat cereal, mostly because I've never liked milk, but I would devour your sandwich. Pulled one of the batards from last weeks bake out of the freezer this morning. We both had toast for breakfast. Moe with ham on his and I had mine with a bowl of homemade soup. About 80% of the bread that I bake gets eaten as toast.

Last night's dinner. Penne with fresh tomatoes and a cream sauce with parmesan. I made this for him recently and served it with grilled halibut. He liked the pasta sauce so much that he actually ate leftovers for lunch the next day. I asked him yesterday before leaving for work, what he might like for dinner and he suggested pasta with the same sauce. Very simple sauce. I sauted some mini plum tomatoes in olive oil and a bit of butter. When they had softened I added a couple of minced cloves of garlic, dried basil and heavy cream. Seasoned with salt and pepper and let simmer until the cream had reduced. Used the back of a wooden spoon to squish the tomatoes. Added some fresh grated parmesan cheese to the sauce, and just before serving added fresh chopped basil.

@rotuts, no. The chicken is boned out but the skin is left on and the mushroom duxelles is spread under the skin. So what you are seeing is just the roasted skin. Lucy Waverman's Chicken Perigord

I always love your baguettes. Started a 1000g batch of dough last night with 2g of yeast and a smaller 500g batch with just 1g of yeast. Left out on the counter for a slow rise overnight. Baked 4 large Batards and Matt used half the smaller batch to bake a pizza and I used the other half for two smaller baguettes.

Tonight's dinner. Another favourite dish. Chicken Breasts Perigord. This recipe comes from - Lucy Waverman"s - 1989 Seasonal Canadian Cookbook. I've been making this dish since 1989. Great dinner party recipe as well as just a regular Wednesday night dinner. Sometimes I serve it with the wine sauce, but I also love it with a green peppercorn sauce. Served with roasted potatoes, green beans and rutabaga.

I had intended to cook Moe a small sirloin steak with eggs for breakfast but he decided he didn't want eggs. So I served it with roasted potatoes and a small tomato salad.

@Annie_H your frittata looks amazing.

@Dejah, no I very seldom marinade anything. They were presalted the day before and then just seared. Added back into the pan after the onions, garlic, ginger and spices, but before the liquids were added and tossed around to coat with the spices. Crushed tomatoes, and chicken broth added and then into a low oven to slow cook. I had planned to cook halibut for dinner last night and didn't. I picked up pizza from Pizzeria Prima Strada. We don't order take out pizza very often. But when we do it is from this place because of their wood burning oven. So once again Moe had dinner for breakfast. Seasoned and grilled the halibut and served with pasta in a cream based sauce with fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. Moe loved the pasta and said I can make that any time and he doesn't even need anything else to go with.

It is very pretty. And the dressing sounds delicious.

This is a dangerous place to come to first thing in the morning. So many wonderful meals. And great photos. Last night's dinner. Lamb curry, using lamb shanks and Aloo Gobi with homemade Chapati and basmati rice.

Baked two loaves of homestyle white yesterday and two buns. Stopped at the The Brazen Fork food truck in Cow Bay/Duncan and picked up a pound of their smoked brisket. Made brisket sandwiches for dinner using the buns.

@Dejah, nothing special. Just make sure that the scallops are patted dry. Really dry. Then I just season with salt, pepper and sear in a hot pan with a little olive oil and butter. They take just a minute or so to brown and the same for the second side.

Moe's dinner. He loves scallops so I ordered more from Walcan Seafood. This time Quadra Island Scallops. Bigger than the Hokkaido Scallops that he also loves. But equally sweet and delicious. Seared and served in garlic butter with fresh thyme and parsley and served with fresh lemon juice. Asparagus on the side.

Last night's dinner, Green Peppercorn steaks. Needless to say, the plate without carrots is mine. Sugar Pie for dessert. Topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut.

Started a batch of bread dough last night. First time I've used the Stretch and Fold method since the accident. Just 2 grams of yeast in a 1000g of flour at 72% hydration. Last baguette out of the oven just in time for lunch.

I love having these Hokkaido Scallops from Walcan Seafood in the freezer to cook for Moe when I'm not hungry. He loves scallops and I've never been a fan. Tonight's dinner was scallops in a cream sauce with mushrooms and gruyere topped with buttered garlic bread crumbs and finished in the oven. No recipe. Just winged it. Moe gave the dish 5 Stars.

Roasted a turkey a couple of days ago and still had one breast left and lots of gravy. Made hot turkey sandwiches for dinner last night. That was the end of this turkey. I think I did pretty good considering I'm the one that hates leftovers. We had a traditional turkey dinner, three cold turkey sandwiches with cold dressing and the legs and carcass went into making broth and a pot of soup. All gone.
