according to an ad in today's Record for Donnatelo Ristorante in Fort Lee it says that the NY Times has chosen Donatello as one of the top 6 Restaurants in Bergen County - anyone seen this article or can verify this - anyone been to this place - what are the top 5?
my opinion is they are trying to extend their reach. being that they only review 1 fine dining restaurant a week, I do not think they have run out of places to review.
They reviewed Xavier's go into bergenrecord.com then entertainment, then Dining I realize Xavier's may be a great place, but I am sure many readers would prefer a more local place.
Anyone see their dining review today. First, last week they fail to write a review for fine dining. Now, this week they review a restaurant in Garrison, NY. Luckily we have this forum because the Bergen Record is not worth the read.
Tommy help my office mate who is trying to be friendly wears the same damn clothes every day any suggestions this guy is so pathetic it is sad but also clueless
I have been to Bamboo Grill - to me not as good as Goldie Luck. Try the whole fish if you like Fish (at Bamboo it is stuffed with tomatoes and onions while at Goldie Luck it is grilled . Or try puncit (similiar to lo mein but better more flavor . Try the lumpia (small egg rolls) Sinogong (Shrimp and Vegetable Soup). Also sticky rice, halo halo for desert
Glenn - on the whole Cendrillon is not authentic Goldie Luck is People there are nice but I will warn you if you go when it is busy the service can be slow They used to also have music there on Friday nights. Sunday starting around 1pm often very busy as this is when the last church goes out and Teaneck/Bogota have a large Filipino population.
There are a few good authentic Filipino restaurants in Bergen County. Try Goldie Luck in Bogota on Palisade Avenue (they have very authentic dishes along with some Chinese dishes) this is my favorite. There are others though in Bergenfield but I like Goldie Luck.
Shugga thanks I will try Moon Shugga - have you been to many of the other places in Westwood I recently went to the newly opened Hanada - pretty good, but have not tried Chengdu or Raku. Any comments on these or other places good in Westwood.
davidc BBQ lover - if you are in Bergen County try Finks finksfunky.net they use Southern Pride Smoker and this is good stuff first time i did not like but they have gotten over their growing pains and have great chicken and ribs
