At breakfast at Country Pancake House in Ridgewood yesterday. Food very good and prices reasonable. Wait can be very long if you go during prime time which seems to be from 9am to noon. What are other good breakfast places or diners around?

I dropped in Mona Lisa tonight and spoke to the owner on the review. She was very happy with it. She is a genuine very nice person. She said everything the article said was true. She is expecting to hire another server soon to improve the service.

Rachel - you had mentioned Filipino food in the past. FYI, Goldie Luck (Filipino cuisine with an emphasis I believe on the Bicol region of the Phillipines) is on Palisades Avenue in Bogota. They used to have live music on Fridays.

I've driven by the restauarant , and have noticed that it has become more upscale. Last week, I noticed a large party having dinner outside eating some lucious looking entrees. yes. I know the owner. They do have nice specials, but one of my points was that the article should have mentioned that it does a large part of its business selling pizza. - I would suggest if you go to order only from the specials list. I once tried the calamari which was very bad (it was not a special at the time)
